I think if your house is millions of dollars and considered luxury, you should definitely match the quality with a high end wood product. However, I don’t think replacing outdated floors. With trendy lvp could devalue a home? If you stage and do you colors right with what people are looking for in you area should only increase interest. My home is a 5 bed 2.5 bath family house in a middle class neighborhood. I plan on doing lvp through the whole house. I like the fact that it looks like wood and is waterproof. Of course if you can afford wood do it, but the real estate market In my area is crazy homes sell in days. Any type of updating you do adds value in the long run.

ETRD, what color did you use with Shaw?? The only floor I really like, anywhere, is the Baroque Turin, which is unavailable until at least June, if then, and I like the above pic of Sandstone, which is not available until end of March if then. It's so hard to find anything. I can't find any decent samples of Shaw flooring to even take home.

Sorry this is so delayed! I will respond in case this helps someone else…in order to match the raw white oak to my Paradigm Tower LVP in Windsor, Iam doing a roughly 15 minute whitewash and then following with a combination of general finishes (all General Finishes products) water based stains to get my tone match. Anyone could successfully do a white wash over the wood to lighten it and then a very quick on and off application of whatever tone needed to “match”….then using the flat out flat water based top coat…this should never darken or yellow.

You may have already purchased flooring, but I'll share a couple of things to think about as you consider purchasing online. Did your local flooring store invest time, effort, and energy in helping you with your decision, and share their expertise with you? Did they let you take samples home? If so, they have sown with you, consider letting them reap the benefit of their time, energy, resources, and sharing their expertise. They may cost more but it is a reasonable expectation that they get paid for their time and sharing their expertise and resources, again, if that is the case here. If there is an issue with flooring purchased online or you need to file a claim, will your online retailer help you with that, or just refer you to the manufacturer, and you are kind of on your own? And would you have to pay shipping charges to return the flooring? Those are also valid questions for your local flooring store as well. I realize this didn't answer your question. I hope you have a great experience and love your flooring wherever you end up purchasing it.
