Thank you so much, everyone! I had so much fun making that cake and all the sheets, but it was a lot of work, and I would think twice about offering to do anything on that scale again! Tracy - the flowers and bow were fondant. I was going to make everything out of chocolate melts, but everything was coming out lumpy, and I didn't have time to work with it, so I tried fondant for the first time. What an easy thing to work with! I was pleasantly surprised! The only real problem I had was that I used sheet cake pans from two different comapanies - it appears their rulers are not the same! The Wilton 15" x 12" x 2" was a good 1" bigger than the cheaper ones I bought - so we had some beveled sheet cakes! Weird, but it worked! Just put a smaller layer on top of the larger! The spa day was fun! My feet were halfway soft for a while! Now they are back to normal - time to start taking care of my feet a little better, I guess! The only problem with the day is that things weren't going well at home or for my husband with our business, so I got constant phone calls while we were there and all the way home, so it wasn't the most relaxing day! But, such a wonderful treat from my sister! She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen - can't wait to show you all a picture (of course, I am a bit predjudiced!) Okay, for the peony - I cut all the foliage off, as it all looked bad - same for the peony I had several feet away - looking the same way. I cut them both to the ground. The stems looked bad and everything. So... do I need to dig them up? Or should they grow back okay next year? Thanks so much for all the help, girls!

Our mortgage, including all taxes and insurance, runs us about $900 a month, and we only put down about $3000 on our house. We could have purchased a nicer (albeit smaller) house just down the street for almost half the price. Two people earning low- to moderate salaries should have no problem owning a house, as long as they realize that they won't be dining out seven nights a week, won't be walking around in Prada shoes, and may not have a 90210 zip code. Anyone who's responsible enough to appropriately manage their finances can be a homeowner. With that being said, one needs to realize when living in an apartment that some noise will be involved. Heck, my first apartment had walls like rice paper; I could hear quiet conversations word-for-word on either side. IT COMES WITH THE TERRITORY. I genuinely DO feel for the OP in that she is apparently a light sleeper, but if this situation is so stressful for her that she erupts in fits of bigoted name-calling whenever someone tells her something she doesn't want to hear, then she owes it to her own sanity to just figure out a way to move. No apartment is worth a stress-induced heart attack, you know?

We had 4 "dwarf" alberta spruces around our gazebo that were there (and 6' tall) when we moved in 11 yrs ago. Last year they were about 10ft tall and were rapidly losing needles and getting brown from the bottom up. I think they had spruce mites. Anyway, in Feb we dug them all up and I can't wait to see how the hostas I had planted in between them do this year now that they will get so much more light and space. I have a Paul's Glory that I think will return to its former glory, so I am looking forward to that, as well as adding some new additions and divisions to fill in. Found space, oh joy!!

Gls, we had the same thing happen when we were supposed to go to Hawaii in September. I called and the agent said our flight was cancelled. They however booked us on another route, would we accept it? Heck no! SD to Seattle with a layover, then to Kauai. 13 hours. Cancelled it because of Covid restrictions in Hawaii. I’m glad you could get your flight changed easily. Will you have any problem getting an extra night at the resort?
