Chicken wings.......................

We used to get delicious wings from a restaurant that is no longer in business. IIRC they used a Jamacian Jerk style rub. Am wanting to make some and hoping to come near that taste. Do any of you have a wing recipe similar or even just one that you love and care to share?

I use Walkerswood jerk seasoning. It's not a dry rub, it's a paste that I apply to the wings several hours prior to or the night before grilling. I also mix some into melted butter to baste a few times towards the end of cooking.

Beware that the hot and spicy blend is not for the faint of heart!

The first thing a chick grows is those darned long, strong wing feathers, and since they don't have any weight, they are all horsepower and can fly like freakin' eagles. This coupled with those nice strong legs to jump with, makes the little stinkers able to get into trouble at the drop of a hat. I really wouldn't clip the juvenile feathers if you can avoid it, just keep them penned until they get some more weight on them. Once they get their adult feathers, usually they've learned where they live and don't take to flying so much, especially heavy breeds. Banties are more apt to fly up into trees and such, especially to roost. Thanks gals! I think someone also said maybe use just half of the Frank's Hot sauce? These folks are mostly over 65 yrs old..don't want to burn their guts out! LOL! Guess I'll just have to take directly from the oven-over to the club & let it set for the 10 min. over there...'hot off the wing'! I too, plan on mixing it all together before putting in the pan. Thanks for the tips & info! I'm also making Brie crisps.

Lonejack, I only see the comment about the comment. IIRC, this happens when your comment is stuck in the review cue, and will show up after a human clears it,

Well I reposted it again and it's still not showing up so you must be right that something in the comment raised a robo flag pillog.

It might be the name of the product so I will leave that out this time.

Lone Jack, do you mean there are choices of hotness or Walkerswood jerk is hot and spicy? Also can you tell me where you find this?

There is a mild version and hot and spicy version. I've had both and the hot and spicy is a little too hot for me. I mix the mild with the hot to make a version that is just right for my taste buds. It is the closest commercial brand that I have found that reminds me of the jerked chicken I've had in Jamaica. I believe it is made in Jamaica. I've also used it on whole split chickens and apply it under the skin.

I've never seen it in a store around here. I order it from Amazon four bottles at a time for $25.
