Thank you Beth for all the recommendations. I'm struggling with this space. The rest of my house is Mediterranean with alot of marble and dark wood. I was hoping to incorporate a little contemporary feel to rhis room but I'm stumped. I feel like even with a coffee table, it's still missing something. Maybe I need to lighten the wall color?

can you shoot a photo from further back?

the picture over the bar cart is hung too high. can you lower it 6-8 inches?

I'd prob do some diff types of pillows. the solid blue and rust feel a bit forced.

I think one of those solid wood table (pics 6,7,8) or the solid ottoman would work nicely.

I think I like something like this, but in a darker stain? then do the lighter, textured pillows

I'm thinking along the lines of the pillows in these pictures . for a punch of color in the blue or the rust, do a textured throw

(instead of the rust pillows, what about a couple of poufs or leather ottomans lke shown here? then notice the pillows w/just hints of the rust and blue colors)

1. @Beth H. : Thank you so much for your suggestions. I honestly am trying to rid my head of the "everything needs to match concept" lol. It's been a challenge. I'm planning on putting a side chair of some sort as soon as I figure out the whole coffee table situation.
2. @acm Thank you for your suggestions too. Yes, my room does have a tiny bit of chinoiserie feel. I was really trying to get more of a British Colonial/West Indies look but obviously failed lol.

The rust and cream tones really work well w/everything. I think I just use the blue w/some accessories.

I like the 3 diff pillow designs/textures, maybe a basket over by the fireplace w/some logs and a throw, I like either of these chairs/cushion w/ the pillow/throw over it. and I still like this wood coffee table. (a bit darker if you like that better).

The blues are too cool against the rug and the stone. see how much better the creams/rusts work? (IMO)

look at the pillow mix/match. textures, colors/prints,,,all coordinate

I like your palm and blue/white pot, but what about this warm terra cotta w/an olive tree for a bit more height?

If those sofas all recline, you may not be able to use a coffee table when they're fully extended.

Remove the scrolly mirror, it doesn’t work in a more contemporary setting.

My husband loves that mirror and I agree it probably needs to be in our dining room instead, I'm trying to figure out a happy medium.  I'm just now diving into a tiny bit of contemporary design.  Our home is structurally Mediterranean, so it's been a slight challenge.  I appreciate the feedback!

You have a beautiful room. What i notice in the night picture is the corners feel dark. Do you plan for more lighting there? The colors you have are great.

I agree.  We struggle with lighting in this room.  When the fireplace wall was built we were supposed to have 4 recessed lights installed and that's on the list lol.  Our contractor had another job he had a commitment to, so our project was put on the back burner temporarily.

Any thoughts on this coffee table for my space?

Also considering this as a side chair.  Thoughts?

Have you considered "C" tables so each person can have a place to put their drink or tablet while the seats are fully reclined? The chair is a bit too British Colonial in style for your place.

Sofa is a white and not beige-y, the blues seem nice. If rug is the Spice/Marine rug, then rust-y is nice also.
