IMO a full range is always going to save money and if you do not need 2 wall ovens why go that route at all. I also am currious about plate warmers do you actually use one ? IMO the wall oven is the piece most often used so iy should be in the proper height for ease of use then I do not like built in MWS usually about the time it dies there are none to fit the space and I do a ton of entertaining and have always just used my one wall oven for plate warmer and not that often since we do a lot of family type service for big parties . I think you need to get a KD involved and really think about how you cook and entertain.

The best place for a warming drawer is directly under the counter, next to the wall oven. Or second best is in the middle drawer under the counter next to the wall oven. That way you will actually use it. You bring something out of the oven, perhaps need to set it on the counter (with a trivet), and then put it into the warming drawer. No bending, no reaching.

A triple stack is never a good idea. What you describe in your OP makes the microwave too high. You don't want to be pulling out hot sloshing dishes from a height. If you make the triple stack lower overall so that the microwave isn't so high, then the oven is almost at the floor. No, triple stacks are bad.

@tealouI currently have a Wolfe dual fuel. I love the gas burners and that Wolfe designs them such that if you need LP for the fuel, you can purchase a range specifically for LP fuel and the BTUs won't drop when a converter is added to gas ranges built for natural gas. While the oven in my current Wolfe bakes well, it has the oddity of needing to let the oven cool down by 150 degrees in temperature should I need to increase the oven temperature later for another need once the oven has already been at temp for a lower temperature. To me, this was a very stupid design by Wolfe (my range was purchased in 2005). Additionally, I hear there is now a problem with the newer models where the blue enamel is chipping off. This is why I am buying a range top and a wall oven, to avoid the oven issues in the Wolfe. I do use my current warming (including for proofing bread dough), but it is at the bottom of the cabinet, and it would be used more if more conveniently placed. @Shannon_WI You are probably right about a triple stack. Unfortunately, my kitchen setup won't allow me to have the WD in a cabinet right next to the oven because that area is less than 30". Possibly the option of putting it in the island opposite the range top would be a better idea.

No. you will use the oven the most and you are relegating it to the most inconvenient spot in the stack. the beauty of having a rangetop is having the convenience of a wall oven (height).

I don't get it. Why is the least-used appliance positioned at the most convenient location? And which unnecessarily raises the microwave? I looked at installation instructions for GE and Bosch warming drawers and neither referenced this appliance stack. The GE warming drawer web page mentioned that it could be installed under a cooktop.

Warming drawers are most useful when they are located in an easy-to-reach space next to either the oven or range/cooktop -- whichever one you use the most. As to easy-to-reach, I think the best location is in the middle drawer location.

I suggest next to a cooktop/range or oven, not under. It's more convenient for access overall if it's next to rather than under another appliance.

One thing to keep in mind, most, if not all, warming drawers heat the drawers above them (and even the counters if they're on long enough), so don't store heat-sensitive items directly above a warming drawer.

What's the layout of the rest of the Kitchen? Perhaps we can suggest a better location.

@Shannon_WI I should have noted when I posted this. This was the floor plan (and the largest version I had) of the log home we liked, they just happened to design the island and table as such on a diagonal. Island placement is, of course, our choice. This room, all in all, is not small and I have been playing around with placement/size of all the various components.
