Need Suggestions on Exterior Colors of 1911 House
Comments (11)In 1910, shingle stain colors were very limited, like red, green, brown, and buff. I think Buff on the stucco, off-white for trim, and a green or red for the accent color. Your door being red in the pic, that would work. The shingled gables may look well in another color as long as it is not a deep value or a primary color. Something like a slightly darker shade of the stucco color. I'd recommend staying away from the outlining effect in a dark color of the trims, it makes an already-small structure look more cut up (busy is a word I hate to use, but it fits in this instance, meaning visual clutter) Casey...See MoreHELP! Comments (7)Your door isn't farmhouse but I think BM Dragons Breath, BM Iron Mountain, or BM Night Train would look great. In your case I'd paint the door and the trim around the door the same color. If you trim everything out you're back to formal because of the brick. I'm partial to oils for doors but they're not for everyone. Whatever you choose prime it first. Don't forget about the trim on transom window. After you paint and give it time to cure, you could also think about beefing up your hardware to achieve the farmhouse look....See MoreI need your suggestions for exterior paint colors for my home.
Comments (4)I agree do a dark color on your trim. I would do a light color on your siding. Is Benjamin Moore available by you? These are colors I can see on your house....See MoreHanna S
