Ideas for decorating small bedroom?

This is my rental bedroom, I will add some striped pinkish beige courtains and on the little bedside table I will put a salt lamp.But I need some ideas on how to make it more cozy.I hate the floor colour and now the room is pretty empty.I can paint it and put whatever painting or shelves.
Measurements: 3.95 x2.77
Bed is 207 x 150
Wardrobe is 236cm height and large 150cm

Are you able to place the bed on the wall to the right of the entrance without impeding access to the closet? Then you would have a bit of room on the left window wall for a dresser and a small chair in the corner between those windows. You could reverse it but I'm one who prefers not having a bed directly below a window, so I suggested the other wall. The interior wall will also allow you to use a headboard at some point. If the rug stays, I would keep it at the same orientation so that when your guest gets out of bed they step on the rug.

mammapinky Yes, they are. I did that on purpose. I wanted a different illusion than just the mirrors hanging, if that makes sense. I want the mirrors and curtains anchoring the bed, like a headboard. Thank you! To everyone mentioning the mirror height, don't tell my husband! (lol) He absolutely hates hanging curtains, shelves, mirrors and paintings. haha I'll have to wait to the weekend or a day we both have the time and we shall raise them. I'll have to ease him into it. ;) Should they go the same height as the curtains? Thing is, raising them any higher and the bottom of the mirrors show, which is not the effect I was going for. :/ chickadee2_gw Wow, thank you so much! :) I truly find this sight inspiring. I think you've got some good ideas. I've seen some nice rooms with wallpaper behind the bed. As long as the wall is correctly prepped and it's in your budget - go for it. When/if you want to change, it should be easy to remove. If you're going to do that, I'd choose bedding with little to no design. Clean and serene. I like your tulip table and also the acrylic piece - if it's the correct height. It may not be in your budget, but I love the floating shelves that decoenthusiaste posted. We can't see your window coverings, but I really like having room darkening treatments in my bedrooms. I used to frequently visit family in Texas and my room was east facing with shutters. The morning light was terrible.

So I just tweeked your current plan a little bit by doing pier style cabinets on either side of the bed. Then you don’t have to have a nightstand. Or you can just do full height wardrobes. You will have to account for the jogs in the wall so that the bed is positioned so that you can get the doors open. Then the desk would be opposite the bed and possibly add a little bookcase. I am showing a queen sized bed.

I think start with some nice new bedding that you love. I would get a proper lamp not a salt lamp . Can you give us at least the meausrements of the room.I like to choose wall color from the bedding and also the drapes .Do you need shelves for something? IMO shelves will just make the space even smaller but some art could be a big improvemnt . I am not sure how old you are but you coule if money is tight do a couple of framed posters or even go to Ikea and see what they have for art. I don't think the floors are horrible and I am not sure a bigger rug will work.

I bought black sheets with black pillow covers (that you can see in the picture), white sheets and also pale pink sheets.

Unfortunately my duvet is single 150x200 and it covers only the bed, but I don't mind since I'm sleeping alone and i have some different colored duvet covers.

I don't know if it's worth buying a queen size duvet ?!

I think art on the walls will give you the biggest bang for your buck, if you choose carefully. Do you have a thrift store (or IKEA, as Patricia suggested) in your area? Sometimes you can find cheap art there.

I've also used fabric instead of art as a wall hanging - and fabric on the wall could help soften the space and is generally cheaper than art.

It might be too big of a job, but you might want to swap the bed and the wardrobe. You could then make your bed look like a daybed with cushions against the wall.
