May 2021 in my hosta garden
Comments (82)Yes! I love tarsiers and lorises! Here is an Eastern screen owl. How I wish I had one of these in my yard. They are voracious vole hunters. https://abcbirds.org/bird/eastern-screech-owl/ They have the cutest trill. They shiver while they trill. They are little owls. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADtk37HFmq4...See MoreHosta C 2021 ..................
Comments (74)Peren.all, thanks for the nice words. I see what you mean about the mice looking happy together. (I never thought of it like that!) I may just keep them together! I am going to think about what I can put with them to make a grouping of 3. I'd certainly buy Cherry Berry at my horticultural society's sale if it were available----and then I'd ask you for some "tips!"...See MoreHosta H 2021 .............
Comments (47)Just a quick football comment since it was such a crazy day yesterday. I couldn’t even fall asleep until 3:30 this morning because I was so jittery. Too many games with too much happening, so wild. All I started the day wanting was for TJ to get the sack record but insanity ensued… I’m under no illusions about my team but still…they get your hopes up even when you KNOW better! Hopefully I can sleep tonight and can go back to looking for my hosta pics tomorrow-today I was just a zombie🤦🏻♀️...See MoreHosta I 2021 ............................
Comments (46)Nicholsworth, your wedding picture is so sweet! Congratulations on your 47 years of marriage! Still looking great today! Paula, the tree removal must have been shocking. I can understand that you haven't gotten over it yet! What is not very well understood, is that trees on neighboring properties can and do affect each neighbor. The city should have given the neighbors some notice at the very least. Where i am, I don't think all the trees would have been removed, and definitely some young trees would have been planted surrounding the new lake. When I went to our city council to ask to have one of my trees removed, a councillor asked me if I would move the said tree into the corner of my property if I could. I said "no" because my back neighbor would not be able to have his vegetable garden and my adjacent neighbor would lose her pollinator's garden due to the lack of sun. Imagine how angry my neighbors would be with me if I could move the tree! It still ticks me off that the neighbor planted a large growing tree on his property that is going to shade my property as it grows and not his! Unfortunately I only have one "I" hosta and I didn't take a picture of it! So I've nothing to add. Nice hosta everyone!...See Morenicholsworth Z6 Indianapolis
