Well wouldn't you know my luck...I have fallen in love with that Purple Chaise and Penney's website is saying it's not in stock (no future date given) Figures! I did find it on another website for the same price as Penney's but only in Pink. Look how cute it looked with the purple and a floor lamp I found on Ebay for only $54. So now I'm googling again. OR I could just get it in pink...hmmmm? THANKS for all your help everyone!

I would probably do a grouping of 5-7, depending on their size. I tend to like one side of it to be in line, but that's my eye. Like the bottom of the frames lining up straight. It gives me a sense of order but it's not a rule. I'd marry either color or subject, if both don't jive with you. For instance, my old dining room had a wall filled with women as the subject. Different styles, genres, and colors with a couple of mirrors added for reflecting the light. I loved it. In the hall to the bedrooms I hung a variety of black and white family photos. One area in the living room had 2 Robert Wood prints of California beaches at sunset joined by a third beach sunset by an amateur. Whatever makes you happy to look at while you're sitting there!

I think while the look of a built in window seat appeals to me most (look wise) I have a feeling that a chair and ottoman would make the most sense, and actually be the most comfy. I do love the looks of a chaise though....... I can read sitting in a dhair, but find that if there is a way to put up my feet I am drawn to do that. I have a chair in my MBR and occasionally sit and read there, but I think if it had an ottoman or if it was a more comfort chair I would be there more. I often read sprawled on the couch. So I think the idea of a chair, ottoman, small table and floor lamp seems the way to go.

I think that you need more lamps in the room. Does anyone read or knit in this room? If so, a lamp and table between the chairs would be a handy place for a book and a drink. You definitely need something to anchor the couch, either a coffee table or perhaps the ottoman that you showed. I'm a book person, so I'd love to see bookcases behind the chairs, but that might not suit your life style.
