My just-about-finished Super White kitchen **pics**
Comments (78)colorfast, harleysbud, go_figure, and alongroadahead.... thanks for all the comments! I don't visit the forum much now that our kitchen reno is finished, but I do like to check in from time to time. I would like to add an amendment to my tile details. In the way back of my mind, I kept thinking that I had purchased Jeffrey Court tiles, but couldn't find my invoice from Best Tile to prove it. Finally came across my box of leftover tiles in the garage and sure enough, they ARE Jeffrey Court tiles. I'm not sure if Best Tile has exclusive rights to carrying this particular tile/line, but since so many of you have asked about my backsplash, perhaps this bit of info may help. Specifically, the tile is Jeffrey Court 3x6 field tiles, part # 519505 in Glacier. I'm thinking that if a store carries Jeffrey Court, they may be able to order this piece....See MoreMy 95% finished kitchen - pics!
Comments (34)Wow - your kitchen turned out great - what a dramatic change! And if you don't mind, I'd love to know more about your Blanco Kontrole faucet . . . I was initially going to order it from eFaucets and then instead ordered from Faucet Depot because of a better price. The description on EFaucet said "with pulldown spray" and "pulldown all-metal handspray" so I assumed it had a spray feature even though it looked to be smaller than most. Now that I've received it, it doesn't appear to have a spray after all, only a pulldown hose with an aerator. Is this correct? And now when I look back at the Faucet Depot description, I see that it only says "pulldown spout". We haven't installed it and our first response was to rule it out and return it but I like the look and size of it and thought I'd ask you about your experience with it before making a decision. Any feedback you could give me would be great and if it's not too much trouble - maybe a close-up picture :-) Thanks!...See MorePlease help me accessorize my finished kitchen! PICS
Comments (34)Rookie - You know I love your kitchen. I agree with Emily - let it happen naturally. I was surprised with my kitchen that little things like dish towels and bowls I already owned are giving me direction for accent colors. I have this great bright/slightly olive green pottery bowl with a bunch of red and yellow tomatoes in it that looks amazing with my gray/white/stainless/natural wood kitchen. I also have some nice darker blue/not quite navy towels that also look great and a vase of sunflowers were "wow". I didn't imagine these were colors that would look good but with such a neutral backdrop vibrant things just pop - real life things not props - in the kitchen. If you really want to find some "colors" - just buy a bunch of dish towels and drape then on your stove for a few days to see how it does....See Moremy finished cherry and copper kitchen new pics and info.
Comments (7)Although I've been signed up for this forum for quite awhile, I've just recently started seriously studying it. I think your kitchen is one of the most beautiful that I've seen. I love your cherry and copper combination! You did a fantastic job! I had looked at your earlier post and was hoping you would provide some info. I was so happy when I saw your second post. We are plannning of a future project ourselves and I have been very interested in copper, too. Your tiles that you handpainted are gorgeous!!! Would you mind sharing how you did that? Did you have to fire them after you painted them? What kind of tiles did you start with and what color were the border tiles before you did your artistry on them? You must be an artist the way you put this beautiful kitchen together!...See MoreRho Dodendron
