Here is an example of mixing cup pulls with regular pulls using the same hardware that we'll be using: https://www.houzz.com/photos/brainerd-lakes-shingle-style-beach-style-kitchen-minneapolis-phvw-vp~97473072. I think it looks great. However, I have a 5-drawer base that is 34.5-inches wide, and I have yet to see any examples of hardware placement on something like this:

As you can see, in the drawing, the cabinet company placed hardware in the center of the lower drawers. Does that look weird? Typically, I see two pulls on the lower drawers to be in-line with the hardware on the top drawers.

I'm trying to decide if I want cup pulls on the top and regular pulls on the bottom or vice versa. Any feedback is welcomed! Thank you!

In your case, if that was my kitchen, I would use the pull size you show on the 17" drawers or even knobs. Then larger pulls on the 34" drawer.

For my kitchen any drawer under 30" got a 7-9/16" pull, drawers 30-40" got a 8-13/16" pull and drawers over 40" got a 12" pull. So I kept the pull size proportional to the drawer size.

Personally I don't like 2 small pulls on a larger drawer. It just looks too busy for me.

I used knobs on all my uppers and on the sink cabinets and super susan.

Your kitchen is lovely! May I ask where the pendant light above the island is from/model name? I’m looking for something with an “open look” (if that makes any sense) but without a bare bulb.

@Sarah, you are correct. Trying to find an "open look" without a bare bulb was extremely difficult! But these are fantastic.
