Parijat (Nyctanthes arbor-tristis - leaves dying

Hello, my parijat plant (indoors at southern window in new york city) flowered for the 1st time (3-4 flowers) in Nov. & right after the older leaves started drying/shrinking/turning patchy brown & falling off. i didn’t feed fertilizer in the winter. it is continuing to drop leaves & even new leaves are drying up. i water when the top 2” of soil are dry. have not changed it’s location. including some pics. of the plant & leaves. would really appreciate suggestions and advice as i am new to this.

Mine is doing the same thing but it is also trying to sprout branches so I think it will live. Just keep an eye on the watering.

Yes mine too! there are so many new sprouts. since this post ive also noticed spider mites on other plants & have been reading a lot. seaweed foliar spray over 3 consecutive days is recommended on the premise that weakened plants attract pests. i just applied it last night & will continue tonight & tomorrow. 🤞🏽 hopefully my precious plants will survive!

I am ordering some plants from www.Bhatia-nurseries.com i have not received any yet, i will let you know. Yes i know shipping is expensive.they are located in New york, maybe you can drive & find out for yourself first hand. i live in wisconsin so i have to have them shippied. Did u have any luck with Nyctanthes arbor-tristis ? Bhatia has this plant (2.5" size is 10$) i understand it is a rare plant they are making available for us in USA. i am ordering jasmines right now . Seeds are available at bananatree but i have heard a few bad reviews about that site, their minimum order is 15$.so i will think about Nyctanthes arbor-tristis(parijat). The other plant Lawsonia inermis (Mehndi), seeds are available at www.tradewindsfruit.com , they have no minimum to order & .25cents shipping per seed packet. that is WOW, i would say, they are a reputed company to order from. HI Dhanu, I really admire your inspiration and determination to grow Parijata. Mine goes dormant in the winter. I put it in a greenhouse and barely water it. The leaves all drop. In the spring, I pull it out of the greenhouse and start watering it a little, letting it dry out a little between watering. All the leaves return and it will start flowering again. I am in N Florida where it can freeze in the winter.
