What is your favorite Shampoo and Conditioner
Comments (23)In the case of shampoos, if you color your hair, you should spend the extra money on shampoos that protect your color. Unfortunately I have found most inexpensive shampoos and conditioners contain alcohol, and even some of the more pricey (like Pantene)have alcohol. Look at the ingredients. If it has alcohol, it will strip your color and ultimately dry out your hair. Many inexpensive conditioners make your hair feel conditioned because they contain wax which does nothing but coat the hair. The combination of wax and alcohol will ultimately require you to use more product and wonder why your hair is so dry without it. There was a special on one of the news shows (I think 60 minutes) that exposed the fact that many of the products we buy today like conditioner and lotion actually contain ingredients, like alcohol, that do the opposite of what you think they should. Comments (45)I actually skipped washing my hair yesterday morning. It looked terrible, but the good thing is I work from home. I ordered terriks bar soap and conditioner. Terriks, what do you keep them in? I'm also going to order the Keratase in travel size. I want to find something I like, but a part of me is hoping I don't like the Keratase, because of the price. I already bought Dove Oxygen Moisture based on a recommendation by the Paula's Choice staff. I started using it in the winter when my hair was starting to seem more thin. Once summer hit and the frizzies started, I put it away until next winter. I'll have to see what the difference is between it and Dove Daily Moisture. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!...See MoreAcne/pimples from shampoo or conditioner?
Comments (44)If it is only showing up on his forehead and cheeks, it could be the shampoo. Try to find a shampoo without Sodium Laurel Sulfate. Difficult to find but they are out there. Does he wash his face with any other products? Something mild like Aveeno might be worth a try. I'd have a dermatologist check for rosacea, which is also accompanied by small broken blood vessels. Any product he is using could make rosacea worse. Even toothpaste has it and I realized recently that some of the other added ingredients in toothpaste was affecting my gums and the inside of my cheeks like a sloughing off of skin. I switched to a more 'regular' toothpaste without all the whiteners, etc and it stopped. Weird and creepy but that's what it was I think....See Moreshampoo & conditioner containers built into walls - do they exist?
Comments (8)I've seen such things in hotels. I think they open up on top so product can be poured in. I found this example pretty easily -- the name brand is Simple Human, and it's available with two or three containers: Completely different thought: I also dislike the bottles cluttering up my current shower, but my answer is to do built-in niches on the pony wall (rather than the expected back wall of the shower). You wouldn't be able to see the products unless you were IN the shower....See More- 4 years ago
