Help with entryway proportions: Console + Mirror sizes?
Our remodel left with us with higher ceilings and an open living space. I figured the entryway would be the easiest spot to furnish, but now I wonder if my plan for a 36" modern console table + 32" round mirror might get lost in all that space? I'm not good with proportions so hoping you visual-spatial types can advise!
The wall from front door to first bedroom is 10 feet 6 inches. The blue tape on the wall marks where the front door opens to. (The other blue tape is another story!)
We use our side entrance 95% of the time, so we aren't looking for a coat rack, shoe rack, cubbies or place to throw our keys. This entrance would be for guests. We're in SoCal, so it's rare that people would need a place for coats or umbrellas!

Mainly looking for help on how big the mirror and console should be too look proportional to the space. Thanks!

I'd recommend you get some brown paper, cut out templates to the sizes you want to try, pin them up and then you can get a better idea of which one would look better. Comments (34)The table in the front hall looks great! Yes, I would use 2 ottomans. Are these colors that you are using in other rooms? The front hall sets the tone and those colors should be use in some measure throughout the home. You could put art in the tall space if you want. Comments (2)scaling off of the first photo I think both of those lack the "beefiness" or size I think the space needs. What else do you plan to put on that wall? Plants? Area rug? I think you need to plan the complete look. Is there a coat closet? A place to put shoes etc? What will be in the adjoined room finish wise?...See More
