Which pull for master bathroom? (x-post)
Comments (1)Your first photo choice is a better style match for your crystal knobs, does well with the faucets, and isn't bad with the lights. The second photo choice goes with the lights, but is iffier with the faucets, and a mis-match with the knobs. Besides, those bits at the end always lie in wait to grab at your pockets as you walk by....See MoreWhich pull for master bathroom?
Comments (13)To me, even though it is stylish, the second one looks like a toilet paper holder and I agree with Annie about getting caught on the ends of it. I had ones like the first one you show in brass on my old kitchen cabinets and they always looked too small. I would keep looking. One of my personal favorites (what I used in my kitchen in a different finish) is the Schaub Casual Elegance. It is shown here in polished nickel as your other choices look to have a polished finish but I really love it in the brushed nickel. I am not sure that the curved appearance of the C.E.would mesh but your faucet is curved yet plays nicely with the linear aspects of your sconces. I love the sconces and faucets, they are beautiful. Comments (19)You can also have the drawers made to look like they are separate, upper lower, but have them be one deep drawer in each set. Like in #1 have 5 drawers that have a split face to look like 10, then the sink cabinet to look like 2 more drawers. Same with the coordinating cabinet if you want...although those drawers look more functional...but you could have a cabinet under the sink then the drawers on each end be quite deep, but look like 2 narrower drawers. You could have sliding trays built inside the drawers for smaller items to remain on top of the deeper drawers. For some reason, maybe based on the mcm cabinets you have elsewhere in your home, I really like #1 the best. My google skills seem to be failing me tonight; I know this is much different than your style cabinet, but a single drawer made to look like a double: not sure if this is a single or two drawers: maybe a shallow drawer in some of them (if you do deep drawers)...See MoreMaster Bathroom Design/style
Comments (24)@Jan Moyer Ha! So not building. Just closed on the house, and making final choices so we can get started with our GC on time. :) I'm 4 months pregnant with our 4th. I've been in the tub 2x this week. ;) I promise we are using the tub even with our busy lives (and we are in a TINY rental at the moment). We aren't doing the storage over the toilet for sure. I think it's a bit tacky, for my tastes anyway! :) When you say cement look, you mean the accent tile with the design? (Just verifying as I'm new to all the design lingo -- sorry!) I'd love to show you the whole house, but I don't have the "floor plan" -- -just some pics of the inside and a kitchen design plan! :) We are knocking out a lot of walls to open it all up. The front living room has a half cathedral ceiling to which we are adding some beams for interest because the ceiling is uninteresting and in need of character. Everything is getting a facelift. Once the "major" projects are done (master bath, kitchen, and guest bath)... we will be adding in some built in shelves as well. @Beth whoa! Thank you for all the idea photos! I like the idea of the wall mounted faucets. I want to try to find some with with a single mount (if that even exists) for easy cleaning/wiping. My other dilemma is that I know farmhouse is very trendy, but I don't want to "overdo" the farmhouse look because it IS a trend. I want it to be able to be "switched" down the road if needed. Don't get me started on paint to choose for the bathroom.... Bahahahaha! @Diana Bier rectified tiles --- is there an easy way to tell this? I looked online for some examples, and didn't see anything with that name. Even in the description. Perhaps it's an easy thing to see. Thank you so much (to all of you!) for your time and help. I so appreciate it. (I can't wait to start it)...See More- 2 years ago
