what dining chairs to go with this table?

Hey all, I got this dining table:
And looking for dining chairs to go with. I’m looking for something modern and contemporary but having trouble finding oak legs and if not oak legs, then something to match. My partner doesn’t like the wishbone stye chairs either. Thanks!

The table that you chose is not very modern/contemporary.

Queen Anne, Chippendale, Hepplewhite,Sheraton and perhaps some Biedermier and Neoclassical chairs would work. You could even do a skirted chair or a very small scaled wing chair. How many chairs do you need. What room is this for? Do you have other English styles in your home? I have a pair of Martha Washington chairs next to a small dining table. They sit alittle low but I like the look.

We did end up buying the rectangular version of the table and have been very happy so far. The wood is distressed enough that it hides scratches much better than our old Room and Board table we replaced. We haven’t put it to the test of a holiday meal yet, though! One great thing I realized anout it after they delivered the table is it would be easy to replace the tabletop and keep the base. While I have no immediate plans to do so, I could see at some point down the road finding a woodworker to craft a new top and keep the gorgeous metal base.

I’d eliminate certain leg styles, to avoid a busy/competing look. I’d try to find a chair style that will pull in the table’s wood, to create a connection. Can you show the room? We don’t know anything about your style, colors, rest of house, etc. What light fixture is in the room? Any other furniture in there? Is it open to your kitchen? Do you have kids?

Nice! I’m liking the suggestion of gray or black chairs after seeing your photos, for contrast. I’m not sure of budget, but Overstock, Wayfair, etc are having really good holiday sales right now.

Your table looks very neutral, should mix well with nearly anything.
