Plantation Blind Color - Which one do you like better?

I am trying to pick out blinds for my bathroom. Which color do you like best and why? (I've been looking at it so long and it would be nice to have fresh eyes.) Thanks for your input!

White - cleaner look - then add some color in the artwork.

Definately the white!! I have a similar look in both my smaller bathrooms, but with wide slat venetian blinds.

parma42, thanks for the Blonde chuckle! Those furniture sites are addicting too.. I spend so much time there! I like the one you posted a link to as well, but now (I am such a nut) think I found another... and after really studying the space and playing with photoshop, I decided the bombe chest #3 is too bulky for the area, so I am ruling that out. My list is shrinking and once again think Les is correct on her thoughts. So, I found this one that is a console - but is a chest too. The size is right, color seems to compliment floors and other furniture.. not sure if the 'style' really flows with the other wood pieces (bTW - I don't like the dining room furniture. It is new - but darker and plainer then I would have picked for this home). Here is my newest find, which is similar to kmcg85 posted. I like the bottom shelf, and that it is also open, but yet has storage. It's simple, yet my dining toom furniture is very plain and simple.

As a jumping off point I say 3. If you feel that you are eveloping and learning about your style then you have a good jumping off point to let it evolve and create over time. Maybe put that fruit basket on the DR table to help 'disperse' the matchy-matchiness of it. Heck - when I started decorating I would have bought a package deal in a heartbeat. I guess for some people we need to have 'something' in the beginning to get a handle or grasp on who we are when it comes to decorating and then we learn and begin to feel comfortable w/ our decisions and waiting w/ 'nothing there' until we know that just the right thing has come along. And then there are those folks who really like decorating but prefer 'a package deal' for whatever reason.n Nothing wrong w/ those folks either - I just ask that they really think and put thought into getting a package that speaks to them.

Well, IMO, the artwork you posted, of the wine bottles, is perfect for the PS. I think your kitchen right now is SO monotone that the brown/green in the PS will actually give it some life, some warmth. My suggestion would be to get a sample pine and paint as much of the kitchen using the sample paint as you can (you can probably paint the entire kitchen with it). then live with it for a week, and see how you feel about it. You might not like it at first as it will be a change (although not a dramatic one!). I kind of get the feeling you're hesitant to make a move because of that, which leads me to believe your first instinct will be to regret any change (which also explains why your first choices of paint color were so darn close to what you've got there now!). At any rate, the brown/green of the PS will definitely be better than the pink of the Twine! I really like the way the PS shows in that inspiration pic of the bathroom. and it will be great with your countertops too.

Many of the new builds in and around the Disney area where we were looking seem to be very contemporary. I don't like it, it's not for me. I wanted the "classic" Florida home even if it is an overdone style. Where it's located, no one will see it but us :) It will be a challenge for me to do the inside, I don't want to end up with it being too theme-y but want to be consistent with the exterior. I googled Addison Mizner after your links and found this house which is lovely, but I feel like the kitchen doesn't fit / was transplanted from a different house. https://www.sothebyshomes.com/palmbeach/sales/0076748 And I normally gravitate towards that white marble/white cabinet look too.

Normally I would choose team white but I really like look of the black. Would look stunning with black accent pieces/black towels..

My first thought was white (to not darken your bath -- baths are small and dark colors can make them have an even smaller vibe). Then I noticed that your toilet tissue roll rod and sconces and the mat around your art and even the base of your cabinet appears to be black ... so, clearly you like the dramatic look of it and it doesn't look bad at all ... so ... go for it: choose black. You can always replace it or paint it white later on if your tastes change.
