Which table do you like better?
Comments (3)If you are doing the slats yourself, you could route channels for the cords to press into them. Or you could do a wider slat that would also hide the cord. Take a look at the EJ Audi / Stickley website for different slat configurations. One other thing that you could do is have a panel painted the wall color inserted behind the slats and let the cords fall where they may....See MorePlease vote-which do you like better?
Comments (44)well I have to go with the corals since I have a 6yr old and if there is not some kind of pink in there she would freak out and wouldn't have anything to do with it. (personally I LOVE the greens and blues) which is what we had in her nursery but she turned 3 and her brain turned to pink and pink only which meant we had to turn around and redo her room.. Lesson learned...See MoreVote - Which layout do you like better?
Comments (70)I'm not sure if I understand Bmore's suggestion either, but I'm okay with the oven location as long as you have identified where you would work when baking. I would center the doorway in the wall space between the ovens and the hutch though. I have my ovens turned at a doorway similar to that and have only 3-4" of wall on each side -- just enough to not have the oven handles sticking out into the opening and to allow the crown to turn the corners. I was thinking Malhgold might have come up with the same thought I had when I started reading that post, but my thougt was a different take. I was sondering about making the kitchen a galley with an open side towards the great room and instead of an island, create a hallway behing it with shallow storage -- kind of a shallow pantry and butler's pantry while takingthe traffic flow out of the work areas. I haven't drawn up anything, so I don't know if it works -- just a concept to throw out there....See MoreWhich Quartzite do you like better? (pic's)
Comments (66)I just posted a question about London Sky using the slab tinker shared in the original post...so, the London Sky slab that was being considered is a quartzite, not a quartz? People at the slab yards have no idea have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask if they have a quartzite called London Sky. Did you finally choose the Madre Perla? We love it and are strongly considering it but I wish I could see London Sky in person. We're set on Brazilian cherry floors, a rich blue island with mahogany countertop, white perimeter cabinets with quartzite countertop, just not sure which one. Not worrying about paint or backsplash yet. Would love to see photos of your finished kitchen! This was my original inspiration photo - minus some of the bling - I just want a grayer but still warm countertop for perimeter:...See Moredilly_ny
