I think I might live in here-- pantry shelves installed reveal
Comments (16)I was intrigued by this suggestion of shelf heights. I too am waiting and waiting for my first walk-in pantry ever....only took 50+ years! It will be so awesome to have all this wonderful storage. Post pics of your post-labelmaker project :) http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/f8/e2/cb/f8e2cbc69140062aef90912fcff2422b.jpg Here is a link that might be useful:...See MoreArranging furniture in an odd shape living room with fireplace
Comments (7)Like Julie Anne, I would use a round table with 4 chairs over by the sliding door. If it expands to oval shaped with 6 chairs, even better! However, I wouldn't do a second table under the chandelier. Instead I would have that chandie replaced with a flush mount fixture and add a chandelier over the dining table. Then I would put a sofa facing the fireplace. The tv can go in the nook to the right if your tv is small enough, or over the fireplace if it is larger. In either scenario I like the idea of shelves in that nook. Put a pair of chairs in front of each window. The ones to the left of the fireplace can share a round table between them. I wouldn't use bar stools, personally. They are hard to slide in and out on carpet and they will restrict your furniture placing options. Instead I would tuck a bookshelf into that spot (because I always need more book storage!) Or just ignore it entirely; when you have guests they will enjoy leaning in the counter just as much as they will enjoy sitting on stools, if not more....See MoreI have an open concept (Kitchen/Living) room and I have no idea how to
Comments (6)Without dimensions it's tough to say, but I'll give it a shot. Get a work table/island that can double as a place to eat. It doesn't look like you have enough space for a legitimate dining table, so whatever you add will need to work for both. There's not enough counter space in that kitchen for adequate prep & cleanup, so an island is a must IMO. If you can get/afford one with storage, even better. Something like this from ikea would work, with or without the storage rack. Turn your sofa around so it faces the blank wall and put your TV there (I assume you have a TV). If you don't, turn the sofa so it looks out the windows (I assume there are windows there) and maybe add a chair or two facing the sofa....See MorePlease can I have help with how to design my living room space
Comments (13)Try a love seat facing fireplace, either up closer so traffice flow would be behind, or against wall where storage door is. Add some type of shelving/bookcase to the right of fireplace for storage and a small tv. Add an extra chair, narrow coffee table and a rug will help define it as a seating area. Accessorize and try Marketplace for some great finds. On other side of fireplace you could add large art and a fold downtable would be perfect for meals, entertaining and a spot for a laptop....See MoreJorie
