Here in Chicagoland we had quite the storm overnight! The wind scared me the most, since we have a lot of trees. It keep me awake a good part of the night.

Lots of trees down in various places, the lake is still wreaking havoc on the shore. Communities will be repairing their beaches, ours already started.

Still breezy but the sun is chasing the clouds east and away.

Southern New Mexico. It's unseasonably warm, and 90 today. It will cool off later in the week. My peppers and okra are still going strong.

Suburb of NYC, today was balmy. But I hear a storm is brewing for tomorrow.

Fall storm-ish the last almost 48 hours. It may be letting up now. 53F and light rain, but we've had downpours, breezy, windy, gusts to almost 60 mph, a few brief sunbreaks....weather all over the board. Instead of the conifers/evergreens I'd envisioned for our retirement years, it's lot of deciduous trees. DH has been in and out raking and blowing and trying to stay up with the mess for two days. It's still not looking great and we'll be gone tomorrow.

We're gearing up for a classic Nor'easter. Flood advisorys. 50-60 mph winds, 20' seas, lots of rain. Small craft advisories. Put away the lawn furniture and batten down the hatches. But it's warm - in the 50's

Lovely day here today near Philadelphia, a bit on the warm side. Now we are getting storm warnings, so something big is on the way. Rain is fine, but i hate wind. And snow and i e, but its too soon for that.

I can hear the thunder now. Big storm moving in!

We got two inches of rain today.

It has been so long since we have had rain.

It was sunny, 70F today. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain starting @ noon through most of the night. High of 62F. Colorado.

Yesterday was very wet and we had wind storms. Because of the high winds we had to cancel my trail lesson which is a bit north in the mountains. Normally, rain doesn't deter us. Where I live some areas had a lot of downed trees and local businesses lost a few roofs. Today was sunny but it is supposed to rain again tomorrow but it looks less likely to happen now, just mostly cloudy.

Also Colorado i — high of 70 here too! Weird, but nice. Tomorrow will be different with snow expected. We’ve already had several snows this fall. Snows and melts in the valley, but staying round on the mountain — nice to see all those white runs already!

A little cool here in CT. Expecting rain and winds for tomorrow and I forgot to bring in my chairs from the porch. I'm also amazed that I still have tomatoes growing along with zucchini, eggplant and peppers. Crazy!

Pretty cold here in WLA - high of 61°, and we got half an inch of rain, which is substantial for us. My brother is in Cathedral City, and it was 75° there. I'm using heat, and he's using A/C, as the house there retains heat, for some reason, but at least we have cathedral ceilings there, which helps.

Right now where I live in Wi the temp is 32 with a high of 54. I can live with that.

A big squall line plowed thru here last night and dumped 1.5" of rain which we did need. A lot of thunder and lightning but no damage done. Just as the fall colors were showing up many tree leaves are on the ground this morning. Upper 60's for the rest of the week, no 30's in sight yet.

Sunny and breezy here in KC today with a high around 60 but the storms currently in the Rockies will be moving through here over the next couple days with a couple inches of rain expected.

There are a couple nights in the 15 day forecast expected to get down into the mid 30s so we might get the first frost of the season which is right about on average.

We had rain yesterday here in SoCal. Today looks sunny and nice with a high around 70 where we are.

53 and dropping here in south central PA. Very gray, overcast skies. Raining off and on. Very windy. My wind chimes haven't stopping singing since 7 this morning.

That storm that hit northern California went all the way up the west coast right into BC. Fortunately for us it stalled off the coast but hit Vancouver Island pretty hard as well as the rest of the coast. It was called a bomb cyclone because of how far and how fast the pressure inside it fell. It was the strongest storm ever in the PNW and hit 942.5 millibars. The previous Thursday we had another bomb cyclone which was the third strongest storm. And we're only at the end of October. We have a long way to go in our rainy/stormy season.

It's chilly but sunny today. It's going to get down to 36 tonight but then temps will come back up for a while. I'm in central KY.

bpath and I share the same weather. We had several trees trimmed two weeks ago, but still had debris of small branches off the enormous sycamore and locust in our back yard. Our century old elm lost nothing and is a glorious gold against the deep blue sky this afternoon. IDK if the six pears lining our driveway will give us any color this year. They get so much water that they sometimes fail to turn red, then gold, as they are *supposed* to do! (Need more cool days before a hard freeze ruins chances.)

I too have also felt the impact of the Pacific bomb cyclone. Rain not so bad but the winds have been terrible and several people have been killed by trees falling on cars driving on busy roads!! Made it safely through the worst of the winds Thurs-Sunday but yesterday morning a tree on the private road I live on fell and took out the electrical lines for my neighborhood. Inconvenient but livable since we have a dedicated generator but not big enough to repower the entire house. Kitchen and living room get the juice while the rest of the house is dark. And since the internet and modem connection is in my office - with no power - I was offline for 24 hours.

The winds have died down significantly but the rains will persist until the weekend, then a couple of clear, sunny days expected before the rains resume next week.

In the Puget Sound basin, our primary stormy months are October and November. Winter is rather peaceful - if wet - for the rest of the season :-)

I'm in the northeast, but we have flood warnings here. Hard rain all night and all day.

So hot and humid in South Florida. I hate it, cannot do anything outside. They are predicting cool weather for the weekend 70's. I can't wait. Then back to hot humid weather. I've been here for 11 years and never remember the heat lasting so long.

It's depressing to deal with.

Sorry your heating unit is out, floral. That's always a pain in the behind and expensive to fix.

I'm freezing in my house today. I didn't turn the heat on last night. I knew it was going to be cold but didn't think about it. I have the heater on in my room now but it's going to take awhile to warm up. It got down to 36 or 2.2 celsius. I woke up with aching knees. I hate the cold.

Some rain and wind came through earlier. It dropped into the 70's. I haven't seen my neighbors yet. They may be wearing winter coats. ;)

It warmed back up to 81° today here in Los Angeles, but it was 92° in Palm Springs. I have the A/C back on, and I would turn the heat back on in the pool if I were in Cathedral City.

I guess I am too far south to feel much of the effect of the Pacific Bomb, but we did get a fair amount of rain, although Coachella Valley got zero. The most wind we got this month was 23 mph. It is supposed to be even warmer tomorrow, and so maybe it will dry out enough for me to get some yard work done.

Well, I’ve just had a cold shower because the back up water heater has conked out too. Why do domestic troubles always come in clusters? Luckily it’s still mild here. 58f at 9 in the morning.
