spend, to hate something. I would call the counter fabricator/installers and talk to them about it. If i was your husband, if be staring at that seam too

Would you have spent another $4500 for another slab to get that section with no seams? When there is only so much stone to go around, you have to cut for yield. That is a pretty good seam, with pretty good vein flow.

If you would have spent another $4500, call them and tell them you’ll spend it now, and you want that section replaced with no seam.

I am so very grateful that your husband is not my customer. Yes, your fabricators screwed up. Their potential customer screening is failing; their seams are fine.

The fabricator should have warned you of course. The match is good but the coloring on the seam is not great. Maybe they can redo that with something better. The seam looks dirty.

I know there has to be a seam because the slab is just short of the L shape piece that needs to be there. We have already purchased 3 slabs. It's not just the seam but the extra piece (especially in person) stands out because the color doesn't match. I thought the quartz slabs would be the same but this piece has more of a yellow hue and stands out.

The fabricator never even explained to us where the seams would be. I would have asked them to place in in the corner at an angle. Definitely a lack of communication and when you save up and spend this kind of money you want to be happy and not see this every time you go in the kitchen.
