I like the white subway tile rather than the gray. I'd do a contrasting grout (especially if you cook a lot; white grout is a pain to clean). Then if you wanted your walls to be something other than white, there isn't a competing color palate. We did something vaguely similar in my kitchen. When we bought it, there were white cabinets, marble counters, kind of creamish gray walls and no back splash. It's amazing what a simple back splash and a little paint can do...

The waterfall actually wasn't in the plan and I should've said that. They just have it in their model, but I didn't love the look of it especially with the White Fantasy countertop I had chosen. Seemed like it would be way too much. That carpet actually isn't in the plan either. We're doing a different look and those will only be in the basement and secondary bedrooms. The rest of the house will be hardwood. We actually had it down to 3 floors: Hearst (which is the one in the picture above), Roosevelt, and Vanderbilt. Perhaps the Roosevelt may work better? We really did love that it was an easy to maintain quartz and loved how simple it looked. @Szasta Hi! Did you get the new countertop installed yet? I JUST got back from the stone yard and picked Calacatta Ultra for our new kitchen counters. What you went through was awful and I was scared for a second reading all the posts in the thread but it sounds like yours was a special mistake situation and I am glad they are fixing it for you - and I'm gonna try and not worry about my kitchen counters :))) BTW - I saw the slabs in person and it is STILL difficult to know if it truly the pure white I want. The slab was partially covered in film and was dirty. So annoying. Keeping fingers crossed it all works out. Please post a pic of the corrected stone/countertop if you have had it installed!

Gives it a finished look. (plenty of DIYS on how to do this) build a DIY (or buy one) panel around your fridge, take it up to the ceiling to match the other gap closesure (more on that below) and you could have something better looking. you're changing the counters, yes? As for the dust catching top, yes to crown. These next 3 pics shows what she did if you wanted to get taller doors. then you'd only have the sides to deal with. but a good filler and primer should cover it up nicely. slightly lighter green from miss mustard green's formula. it's in the corner on the picture. you can take that to your paint person and they can mix it. BM forest Green. if you look closely you'll see the cabinets are like yours. the graining is slightly visible. if you add some wood shelves and do a butcher block counter (or something else,,,,) it looks lovely w/the white backsplash tile. lighter sage color and some others that look great w/oak flooring. don't forget the hardware. do handles. gold is pretty w/green. Remove the boob lights and do something diff.
