Design Dilemma Home Decorating Paint

Our home was all wallpaper- I have since removed it all (shoot me) Far too much texture ended up on the ceiling and now the best/most affordable route is to paint spray the entire house- and then do the trim. We have 9 and 10 foot ceilings… and a large portion is 2 story vaulted. We have lots of varied exposed wood and painted window trim. The wood stays. Any suggestions for an ALL over (including ceilings) paint color and trim color? I like the light and airy- but don’t want it to look boring… thanks!!!!

But you’ll have to sample anyways.
Here are some very commonly used colors :

BM WHITE DOVE
BM LINEN WHITE
SW ALABASTER

I would want a different sheen on the trim. eggshell, matte on walls, flat on ceiling, and satin or semi gloss on trim. Wall paint isnt the best thing for trim.

I would imagine there is lead paint in there somewhere, given the age of the house. I should get a kit to test as I go along. As far as the Soy Gel goes, I seem to be finding this version most often in my searches online. Is this the same stuff? It claims to be good for lead paint, and it also says that it removes multiple layers at the same time. So maybe it's different or not as good to use as the one Beth H showed. I wouldn't want it to take off too much somehow and ruin the wood underneath. Thanks for everyone's help, I really know nothing about this kind of thing, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can as I take on new projects. I'll be sure to give an update or two on here as well.

I would take a pic or scan of the plans and use them in one of the online color viewers that are on the paint company websites. That should be very helpful. I have been using the Benjamin Moore color viewer for a long time.

Thank you. Ben Moore classic gray is hard to describe. In my home it is reading very warm, not at all cool. Not to greige or beige or yellow but definitely not cool. That’s why I’m liking it. I’m familiar with the historical colors of this home, and I have them pop up in my entry, in my pillows, and in my art. I just want less warmth and more modern balance. Really a tough one.

A few terrible photos… open floor plan between the fireplace/living/dining/kitchen. Lots of natural light. Expose pine vaulted ceilings .Red oak floors (barf- but is what it is) cherry kitchen cabinets… carpet will be an warm ‘oatmeal’ coloring- both with beige and greys… seriously struggling- thanks!

I would go with Gray Mist BM for walls and Cloud White BM for trim.
