I have another baby rose

and two more that just beginning to put a but up.

This one started showing color last weekend. He was kind of mauve(ish) at first. Then turned bright pink and then opened pink. The pictures are pretty accurate on color. I think it is cute, but sad there seems to be no scent. Will wait and see, maybe it will develop over time.

The plant is only six inches tall!

Need2SeeGreen 10, I do not have a name for it. I grew it from seed. I had my seeds in a container in my hubbies frig for his bait way in the back thinking he would not notice..... but he decided to clean it out after years.... and he threw out my seeds.... so I dug through the trash and resurrected as many as I could.... but they were not labeled.

I now tell my hubby when I put stuff in his frig..... I learned my lesson.

I do like how this bud was lavender at first. It seemed to change a lot during its progress.... I am wondering if it might be be from Koko Loco.... but it has a lot more petals.... and that is only a guess. I have been having fun collecting the hips and trying my hand at growing them. I wish I would get more to grow... and those that I grow I would like to have more that had scent.... but it is fun to do to this

"sun rose", I gather that is Helianthemum? Digging Dog sells a few types. You might search on Helianthemum instead of "sun rose", perhaps that will help. Here is a link that might be useful: Helianthemum at Digging Dog

I'm not familiar with their germination rate. I grew some about 15 years ago when I worked at a nursery in Vero Beach. They certainly were the coolest looking seedlings and plants I have ever seen. I had the joy of going to a nursery years ago in Punta Gorda that only sold Desert Roses and plants in the Adenium family. It was so much fun to see the different shapes and colors.
