Help with color choices! Grey, beige, or Greige!
Comments (5)amazing gray is a greige.. I have it in our master bath and I can't imagine it clashing with bronze/brown colored windows... it also doesn't show green undertones in our bath- if anything, it will look slightly lavender in certain lights, but not nearly as much a revere pewter did. I doubt if you'll have that problem outside... I would make sure that balanced beige wasn't too pinkish before you decided on that... where will the stone be? the entire front? will the stucco only be in the back?...See MoreHelp with color choices! Comments (0)New construction, south facing (picture is of rear of home, N facing). Can't decide on colors. Was originally going with Amazing grey exterior (stucco), and worldly grey interior main color with Anonymous on a few contrast walls. Windows came back and they are browner than anticipated (color card at window place was a lot darker, almost black). Now afraid our greyish exterior color will clash with the brown window... Would like to stick with a grey/greige color palette, but not sure which undertone will go best. Amazing grey has the green undertone..looks like balanced beige is more brown...don't want the house to look too brown...lots of brown houses around here :-) Anew grey seems purple? the front we're using some stone accents as well. Not a lot, just a little on the garage and entry. I've attached a pic sample of that also. roof will be black For the interior, really liked the worldly grey, but the anonymous, in the "wrong" light looks so army green, considering switching to an agreeable grey/warmstone pair instead. We appreciate any advice. thanks!...See MoreAgreeable Gray against beige tile?
Comments (95)Have you looked at BM Edgecomb Gray? I had a problem with BM Balboa Mist and SW Agreeable Gray going too blue in my house. Edgecomb Gray is a light warm gray. Sometimes it looks light gray, greige, beige or a light mushroom, depending on the room or time of day. It's a neutral that has worked well in all areas for me. Of course, your home may be totally different though....See MorePaint sample craziness- Gray, Beige, Greige?
Comments (20)Yes. We have a unit vacating on the 31st and I just paid for another 5 gallons of D of M. D of M belongs to the middle of the Yellow hue family. (see the Colorography) When some yellows (most yellows) get darker and grayer they looker greener. It's not always noticeable, however. It's more like there are moments of greeness not necessarily an inherent sense of greeness. Personally, like that edge of greeness because to me it reads fresh and clean. What all that means is classic color theories apply. Colors that go with yellow and green will go with D of M and colors that don't, won't. Drift of Mist Colorography....See Morehousegal200
