Agreeable Gray Cabinets/Accessible Beige Walls
Comments (2)We just painted our interior and built-in separate, but similar, colors to achieve the contrast you are talking about. We went with BM Dove Wing for ALL of the interior (walls, ceilings, trim), but BM Revere Pewter for the built-in. It makes for a distinctive, yet somewhat subtle, contrast. We like to consider LRV values to judge how different various colors truly are. Here they are for the two we used and the two you are considering: BM Dove Wing: 79.2 BM Revere Pewter: 55.5 SW Agreeable Gray: 60.0 SW Accessible Beige: 58.0 What are the materials of your walls and cabinets? If sheet rock and wood, respectively, I think you can expect there to be a natural contrast even if using the same paint color....See MoreHelp picking cabinet paint color to coordinate with SW Agreeable Gray
Comments (19)@Sue I know this is a year old but hoping you can confirm for me the colors of your kitchen. Agreeable Gray walls and Snowbound Cabinets? My floors are nearly identical to you but we still have brown/beige/charcoaly granite counters that we can't replace yet but I am just over the dark wood cabinetry and need a color to go with my agreeable gray walls....See MoreAgreeable Gray against beige tile?
Comments (95)Have you looked at BM Edgecomb Gray? I had a problem with BM Balboa Mist and SW Agreeable Gray going too blue in my house. Edgecomb Gray is a light warm gray. Sometimes it looks light gray, greige, beige or a light mushroom, depending on the room or time of day. It's a neutral that has worked well in all areas for me. Of course, your home may be totally different though....See MoreAccessible Beige and Agreeable Gray together?
Comments (29)Wordly gray and anew gray will make the alabaster molding pop , but anew gray have more contrast. Contrast invites the eye in and is what gives the wow factor. The more contrast the more drama. It gives your room a canvas where the tone is set to decorate and the music begins. Alabaster cabinets are beautiful with contrast when paired with black brushed granites and black matte knobs and handles. Don’t be afraid to contrast your wall color with a deeper chroma. As a designer, I see lots of people going lighter and before you know it the walls are all white. Look at paintings and study the art in museums no one paints an all white painting....See MoreRelated Professionals
