What's For Supper Tonight, Tuesday?
Comments (11)Last night I actually got to come home after 8 hours of work. Usually it turns into a 12 because we're short. Didn't feel like making dinner so I swung by and picked up Alex and we went to a new-to-us restaurant. He had fried shrimp basket and I ordered a grilled cheese and fries, not supposed to eat bread or potatoes on my diet, but am allowed one day off. It was so good! I tasted a few of Alex's shrimp too, and they were excellent and piping hot right out of the deep fryer. Not sure what I'm having tonight. Not much probably. I no longer have an appetite at all, thanks to the meds I'm on....See MoreWhat is Your Menu for Tomorrow?
Comments (22)I would love to be a guest at your houses. Marilyn's food thread always make me hungry. We will be a smaller group than usual tomorrow. Six at first until DD2 joins us for her second meal- her in-laws eat at noon. So a total of 10, but with different appetites. Usually we number 19. DD suggested we change up our usual menu and try some new dishes. I thought great idea. She and I spent the afternoon together preparing food at my house. Our menu: cheese platter, corn dip, antipasto salad, ravioli, with homemade fresh tomato sauce, tossed salad, roast turkey with gravy and dressing, roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, broccoli with lemon, baked potato and sweet potato with toppings, fresh cranberry sauce, red onion marmalade. Dessert will be pumpkin/peanut butter dip with apple slices, French apple cake with ice cream or whipped cream....See MoreWhat was on your menu today for your main meal?

Stopped at a diner and had chicken noodle soup, chicken fried steak, baked potato, mixed steamed veggies and french bread and butter with iced tea. Burp....See MoreWhat's for your supper today?
Comments (51)I don't mind frying chicken once in awhile. Jody would have me frying chicken every day, if I'd do it. There is no a/c in any room but the bedroom, and it is so hot to stand over a skillet of chicken. Jody has had my truck for a few months now....and I have been home with no transportation. I really don't mind very much because I like being home and it is a good excuse not to have to go anywhere, and I have been cleaning up a storage building that flooded during the flood. I can only stay out there about an hour a day. Jody has asbestosis and trouble breathing, so I really don't want him out there. So, anyway, he has done most of the grocery shopping, which leaves a lot to be desired. He brings home what he wants me to cook. That's why I said he brought home a chicken. It does sound funny though. ;))...See More- 4 years agolast modified: 4 years ago
