Mine came from King Arthur years ago. Have no idea how it compares to cheaper versions, but if I were buying today I would probably try a cheaper one.

I'd been seeing those when searching for a whisk last year, but wasn't sure if they were worth it. Now I'm thinking about trying one.

I've used one for years. Bought mine at Lee Valley Tools. I use it the most for mixing my bread dough.

This is what I bought, which is very inexpensive, and so it's not much of an investment if you decide you won't use it. I specifically wanted two so that I could have one at both houses.

I use it for bread and pizza dough as well as pancake batter. It's also easier to clean than I expected.

My pizza dough is fairly wet, and this makes mixing it much easier.

Originally, I thought I would want a longer handle, but that turned out not to be the case.

They're so inexpensive that I placed an Azn order and it should be today (I've got everything ready to take its trial run on a batch of chocolate chip cookies :) ). If it doesn't hold up, I'll purchase from elsewhere.

Everything old is new again. My grandfather had two similar items, bit more oval in shape. One small one to fit in a cup and one about 3 1/2". He was a baker and cooked a lot when he had a restaurant. They seem to be handmade (a niece still has them) and he had them since before 1900. I used them as long as I lived at home in Germany.

Those of you buying one, please report back. Thinking of Christmas presents for baker relations.

Floral, my order came in today and I'm very impressed with the quality. They were only $10 (free shipping w/Prime). I plan to give some to give as Christmas gifts (knowing I'll have to explain what they are and why they can't live one more day without them. ;) ETA, this was a package of two whisks for $10!

I want to buy one just to hang on the wall. So cute!
