how do I 'word' this so I can Google it?
Comments (6)I'd suggest trying 'architect'. Serioulsy; the others are right. I've seen any number of modern homes in Dwell that show areas that are 'set off' from another area (whether it be the living, or sleeping, or eating areas), and you get to it through a breezeway or a covered walkway or whatever, and any number of 'camp' pictures where there's a main lodge with the sleeping quarters in seperate cottages. But you have to be a lot more specific, because none of those are the general 'buy a set of plans for $800' sort of thing. Tell us more....See MoreLars, I'm thinking of you
Comments (47)I also think the infection is better than the kidney stones, providing the infection is cured before it does any damage. At this point, I don't even want to think about it, and I'm having a hard enough time trying to figure out how I will manage what I need to get done in Texas. On top of that, my boss wants me to take work with me to Texas, even though (as I discussed with the COO), I do not have any pressing or urgent projects that must be finished right away - I'm caught up for the present. I told her I would be taking my laptop, but it does not have AutoCAD on it, and so I cannot do any working drawings. I have not tried installing any other drawing programs, but I might do that eventually. Because the laptop has Windows 7, a lot of programs simply will not install, including my astrology program, and that was one of the main programs I wanted to use on it. For now, I'm just using it for music, pictures, internet, and movies, and so it is more for entertainment than work. Sony Entertainment gave Kevin a laptop so that he could work at home, and he will be taking his as well. I do not expect to feel up to working on furniture designs while I am in Texas, especially with the heat. Lars...See MoreWANTED: Thank you Lars........again!!
Comments (18)Update: The Shaker Lemon Pie was to die for! I took it to a church potluck on Sunday and thought some of those "good-Christians" were going to battle for the last piece. It's VERY easy. Slice 2 lemons very, very thinly (I kind of let them get too soft and the mandoline didn't like that...grin). Add 2 cups of sugar and macerate overnight in the fridge. The next day, add 4 beaten eggs and mix well. Pour into pie crust, top with second crust and bake at 350 degrees for ~45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Delicious. I made lemon curd from 2 more lemons. Served with angel food and fresh strawberries. No pics……..we gobbled it up! Maybe this weekend I’ll try a recipe from the cookbook. Of course I'll be taking party pictures, Annie..... Whether or not I post them is a whole 'nother question. :) Deanna...See MoreIf you had $200 for Google or Nest product?
Comments (20)A google wifi router does not replace the actual box where you receive your internet/ cable service. At our house, we happen to have our own cable modem (what connects the house to the internet) and then we use the Google Wifi pucks (no tv just cable internet). One of them is connected to the modem, and the others are in different parts of the house to to distribute the wifi signal throughout the house. You may have have a gateway, which is a combination of modem and router. We switched to the Google wifi because we had trouble getting a good signal throughout the home with just a single router. The mesh network solved our issue....See MoreLars
