YKK Commercial Window/door delays?
Comments (2)This time of year most all commercial products have a longer lead time. Without more info on the type of door I have nothing to offer. I do know the commercial doors we typically order have a 10-12 week lead time currently but these are not YKK....See Morecan the effects of overwatering be delayed?
Comments (4)Soft/mushy leaves that are almost translucent yellowish color are often indication of rotting. Perhaps your cactus soil doesn't drain well? That seems to be often problem with C&S soil. PPL using it would amend it with either pumice or perlite (1:1 ratio). And others (like me), use mix made of mostly inorganic ingredients (grit, pumice, perlite, scoria, turface and more). Succulents should be watered thoroughly when needed. 1x/3wks sounds too seldom to me, but it depends on potting mix, temps - season, and plant. The mix should be almost completely dry. Not just on top, but deep in the pot. Check your soil using a wooden or bamboo skewer or chopstick, thin wooden dowel/stick or even pencil. Insert deep, leave in for a while. If dry when pulled out - time to water. So watering on schedule with measured amount is not always best... Old leaves will eventually die, but it shouldn't be so many at the same time, and all of sudden. They will dry up to crisp, not get mushy....See MoreIs anyone else having major Covid kitchen cabinet delays.
Comments (10)A common issue, sometimes, is that lead times are given upon ordering...but what people don't realize is that sometimes the cabinet order can take 1-3 days to do (might as well say an extra week for that). Then the cabinet factory has a processing time, usually up to a week (custom is more)....then they send the factory acknowledgment to the dealer. Any change can delay an order to the next week. So an additional 2-4 weeks can happen just from the time it takes to do the order, check the order...etc. I always tell my clients...the lead time is "X" plus an addtional 1-3 weeks for ordering, processing and changes/fixes to the order. Yours does seem a little longer than normal. But if they are as busy as we are.....one little flicker in the schedule can throw everybody off. Right now, we are booking in to January 2021. We allow some wiggle room, but if something happened (illness, death, delivery issue, damage issue...etc), it would throw us off and be very difficult to get everyone rescheduled in a timely manner. If you are truly concerned, ask for proof that the acknowledgment has been sent by the factory...or ask to see a delivery date from the factory. Your cabinets might be coming in on time....it could be an install delay. Life happens...and right now is the craziest time you could be doing a kitchen. We are probably 2-3 times more busy than normal. Our appointments are booked out a month...and we're having to turn down new leads daily, if they aren't willing to wait for us in 2021. Never had to do that before...ever....See MoreHome builder delaying construction due to wrong windows ordered
Comments (60)Since it should be obvious that nail-fin windows cannot be replaced after brick cladding has been installed over the fins, the only issue here is whether to accept the white windows or wait for the almond windows, therefore the subject of this thread has always been whether almond is worth the wait so it has always been about color preference. If you had shown us the design and actual colors we could have had a reasonable discussion but you didn't do that preferring to discuss who was at fault and the hardships this has caused you. In the end it appears you are dong beige on beige but no one will ever know for sure. Thank all of the members who responded and let it go....See Moretoddinmn
