Oh you guys are just warped! You should sell all you possessions and move into a yurt on the plains. Think of how much longer the earth will last for Mr. Gore because you won't be causing global warming with all of your destructive behavior. It all depends on your perspective, mine may be different than yours and I'm not as PC tactful as some around here, but what you do not hear me saying is that you are any less of a person or your view is 2nd rate because you are not as smart / rich / or / beautiful as me because you didn't apply yourself in school / business / community to be able to afford trinkets that are not available to everyone. Nor did any of the built in, superautomat, warped, yuppie scum folks call out any of the plebes for being pedestrian for liking their Mr. Coffee. This is America - the place that has the OPPORTUNITY for a middle class guy to become the World's wealthiest person or a minority become The President. Apply yourself and you can pretty much have whatever you want.

Trying to find a solution as well... sadly, insetting the coffeemaker would interfere with joists, any suggestions would be appreciated... I have little counter space available on the working side of the kitchen... only 24 inches on either side of the cooktop and don't really want to put it in the island... I thought maybe I could move the microwave/convection unit to one end of the island and possibly place it on top of the wall oven... not sure if that would be too high? I would like to have the wall oven at the same height as the island so I can easily offload pans

Oh taggie! I love it! It looks so nice in your space. It's on my dream wish list :) Can I ask the width of it from the wall to the edge of the wood part? I don't know if we'd even have enough room. I've always wanted one but thought I could never afford it. My husband just realized that we get a discount on Bosch, Thermador and Gagganau through his work. I'm thinking just maybe, I might be able to squeeze it into the budget with that discount. Now I need to squeeze it into my space :) Your kitchen space is beautiful, thank you for sharing :)

Some incongruity in the room is all. You have tons of storage now but lots of small items scattered and stuffed about. The big tv unit could be balanced by the big sofa but you have bunches of little pillows messing up that balance. You could have a great big piece of light colored art above the sofa but instead you have small dark art pieces all over the room. Same with those skinny armed chairs, they just amplify the large tv unit and should be removed. And you need to dress your coffee table with something big to take some focus from the tv unit.
