Grey Bathroom needs paint color. Help!

Just remodeled our guest bathroom to grey which is entirely out of my comfort zone. I cannot decide what color to paint the walls. A Sherwin Williams consultant suggested not going dark as the bathroom is small however I think a dark color would bring out the wall accents. My next task is decorating the wall with a mirror (on top of vanity) and floating shelves (on top of toilet).

We just did gray and white and had the gray tile color matched to the lighted gray.

The problem with going deep is that your border might disappear.

i would pull a color from your tile. on my monitor it looks like it has green in it.

then hang a big pic of a tree or something in nature... your bathroom reminds me of 'bringing the outdoors in'....

while the wall paper is beautiful, your tile has so much movement in it, i would hesitate to do a busy wallpaper.

simple is better here,

Hmm, I'm not sure about gray walls with the warm granite and dark cabinetry. The undertones of the granite are fighting with that Revere Pewter, IMO. I have used SW Mindful Gray with Giallo Ornamental, but it was tempered by white cabinetry and a lot of natural light. I'm not sure it would work in this case. Accessible Beige might be an option. But honestly? I might try a color rather than adding one more neutral. Your fixtures, mirror frames and granite are really nice and a color might bring them out better.

Okay maybe I’ll go back to original color (creamy). The walls were white before, but it felt very plain to me. Can I use a chandelier or pendant if there’s a shower in there? There’s not enough room for sconces ...

I have a gray marble herringbone tile floor in my bathroom. I tried nearly all of the colors that BethH recommended. None looked right. Yes, my bathroom was painted, and repainted nearly 5 times before my wonderful painter mixed his own concoction that was exactly the right color for the floor and the lighting in the room. It is an ART! And I love my bathroom wall color. Be flexible. Repaint. Again and again and again.

I'd do a gray grout. it will hold up better. if you want something lighter for the shower, try Mapei Warm Gray. have you thought about doing a warm wood vanity? with all of that gray, it will look rather 'cold' without something to give it some warmth. I love this warm gray oak one w/your tiles do a marble counter, or a white or gray quartz. if you don't want wood, then go for a black vanity. Or maybe this midnight blue one In fact, try looking at some of the wood vanities. Restoration Hardware. Black would look great too. I have marble in my bathroom and did black from RH or they have a metal wrap vanity if you want something more modern, try this white one

I realize I never came back to post the color I picked. I have attached a before/after of what I ended up doing. A bit late but thank you all for your suggestions.

Looks great! Always nice and helpful to have the final outcome. I see you also changed the vanity. What color did you choose ( name) for the wall?

Thabk you. @salonva I used Sparrow from Behr for the walls, and Newburyport Blue from Benjamin Moore for the vanity cabinets.
