countertop/cabinet/backsplash color and movement combinations ?'s
Comments (15)@cat_ky good call about the lighting. It was a sunny day yesterday so I took some photos in natural light. I don't think I'm getting as much yellow in natural light (so maybe it is the contractor spotlight after all), though are you all still seeing yellow? Does the pairing look a little better in these pics? @eld6161 so there was a white stone that was far closer to my cabinetry available. The woman in the stone shop said she recommends people away from matching colors as the stone just gets lost, and instead recommended going with a little contrast. Now I dont know what the right answer is?!...See Morebacksplash color recommendations
Comments (1)Since the cabinetry is consistent with no changes in elevation and no offsets, I think a tile that has some texture or color variation or depth would be nice....See MorePicking a backsplash color--general input
Comments (3)You can use your kitchen without a backsplash, so wait until everything is in before you decide. Once your cabinets, counter top, flooring, appliances, etc., are in, then you can better determine the backsplash. The easiest choice is to continue the counter top on the backsplash, in one slab. If you want tile, then depending on the style, colors and patterns in your kitchen, select a few samples and bring them home. Place them vertically where they will be installed and look at them from a distance. Viewing them in the actual room is the best way to choose. If you post a photo of your space, it will be easier for someone to give you advice on where to start....See Morebacksplash color & style
Comments (6)altho tile floors are not my fave material.... the cabinets work really well the floors at least in the pic. So try a subway tile in that creamy bisque ? shade . It'll lighten things up and give you some coordination. Two positives. say bye bye to mosaic . maybe a shape if you want , with the simple light color.......See Morejackowskib
