We want to paint these walls the same color as the house (egshell, light beige) or at least something close to it Trojan Color Sealer. You can buy color samples. 8 oz. for $8 plus shipping. Mix your own color to 'match' your house, just keep track of ratios so you can duplicate up into larger quantity. The sealer is semi-transparent and you can 'cut' the colors with clear sealer too. They will custom mix the sealer if you have over 15,000 sq. ft. and they mix to any paint chip. They're currently doing a big project at Disney with a special, custom red. Sounds too fun, would love to see that. Your concrete is well aged at 12 years so you don't have to worry about PH. New concrete has a litany of prep procedures so you're kinda lucky there. But the walls do have to be bone dry in order to spray on the sealer and it's a bonus if the walls have a rough vs. very smooth texture. Hi! We are in the middle of a big remodel and need to select the color of our back concrete patio. This caught us off guard, and we have not yet finalized our exterior paint scheme, though we know it will be some sort of gray or muddy gray/brown with white trim and colorful door (navy? turquoise? green? blue?). For the patio, we want something neutral and light that will fade into the background and not be overwhelming with a gray house color. We are leaning toward Brickform Stone Gray. Thoughts? The post above carlos229 is not the OP. One thing I was going to point out about the difference in cost: If you divide the total cost by the proposed # of piers, you get $1600/pier for one contractor and $1700 for the other. So their rate per pier is not far off at all. I did the same thing with foam jacking my sinking driveway. Had estimates from $980 all the way to $2200. Each estimated an amount of foam plus a per-pound price if they went over. I calculated the cost if everyone used the same amount as the highest estimate, and the estimates came out within a couple hundred bucks of each other at that point. So I picked the guy I liked best. He wasn't the cheapest one but it didn't make that much difference. Question is how many piers you need, and I can't help with that. I liked the idea of hiring someone who has no stake in the game to tell you want you need.

we tore out a landscaping bed for more seating. Sadly we are too far into our project with our landscape guy, paid for concrete already, and quite honestly have been second guessing some of his suggestions. The existing concrete that you see is in the process of being ground down bc it had a brick “veneer” over the concrete pool deck that was crumbling. We decided to chip it off and grind down. Thus, the overlay product once all concrete is poured, so new and old concrete with match. Make sense?
