Need help with Leather sectional and fitting...

A K

So I recently bought an 80 X 39 X36 (WDH) sofa and due to my stupid stairwell they couldn't move it up - it didnt help the legs couldn't be removed. I live in a town house and the stairwell is not straight to 2nd floor. It moves straight then turns left side (which caused the movers issues). I measured the width of the wall to wall on my stairwell and its 37" max.

It seems sectionals might be a better bet but will i suffer from same issues if the sectionals are deeper? I would assume if the length is shorter there could be more maneuverability.

I guess my questions as follow:

1. What measurements should I take from my place and what dimension i should compare against to next sofa/sectional?

2. Is there alternative to sectional I can put up there? I dont want bean bag chairs for sure....

I guess budget maybe 3k or so for now but can go up.

Any tips?
