Comments (3)Hi, Growitnow! I planted mums for the first time last fall and have had only a couple come back this spring. I knew when I planted them that they may not come back. I had planted one in a large galvanized tub and it has hundreds of babies growing now. I'm in the process of repotting these and growing them into larger plants to transplant. I do know, from past experience with my mother, that to keep them bushy you need to pinch them back on a regular basis. I feel so blessed to have so many babies available!...See MoreAdvice on some Mums please :)

From what I read, it sounds like it might be easiest for me to just cut the plants all the way back, toss the infected stuff, and by the time the plant grows back the four lined plant bug season may have passed. Does that sound like a reasonable route, or should I just cut off the parts with the eggs (the foamy looking stuff, right?) and active buggers?...See MoreL Clark (zone 4 WY)
