windows bid comparison question
Comments (2)Not 100% sure as I have not sold Eagle in years but i do believe the standard jamb is 2 7/8" and then they use an extension piece called an extension jamb to bring it flush to your interior wall. Andersen does the same with their casement units. So i would surmise that the company pricing it as a 4 9/16 wall is actually pricing it the same as the 2 7/8" wall with 1 5/16" jamb all 4 sides....See Morehurricane impact window comparisons (pgt versus es windows)
Comments (8)I believe that Hurricane windows, provide superior protection during a violent storm. As they are attached to the integral part of the structure of a building, prevents chances of wind entering the building, something like storm shutters. Simultaneously i even let light enter a room. -------------------------------------------- The hurricane windows fort lauderdale servers great !!...See MoreInstalling Marvin Clad Gliders
Comments (2)Wood exterior-sheetrock/wood panel interior. I had an opportunity to speak with a Marvin retailer today & he confirmed that the retrofit or insert replacement method will not work for the Marvin CGL 6030's, which is what I wanted to use. I am due to receive Marvin's suggested installation instructions for this model in the mail and I will be asking all potential installers if they follow the Marvin instructions or do it their own way....See MoreComparison of window sill grown plants - Russian vs. Optimara
Comments (16)Thanks for sharing those Joanne. Is the first one from PJs with the red center an AV? The second pic shows some very vigorous, thriving plants...nice. Are these window plants all growing in just natural light or do you have other light on them, too? Glad you liked the music. Sirius has listed Spa under the Jazz/Standards category though it's less jazz sounding to me than it is just some nice, calming instrumentals. My usual MO is Rock, which IMO is not the best music for the gentle handling of some of these fragile, tender plants. Sounds like a lovely view you had for repotting! My view is some close-in podacarpus blocking the view of the very close-in neighbor's house behind me. Sometimes I get so jealous of you country dwellers, lol! Jeff, I think I will always have at least a couple of my almost constant blooming Optimaras as some really brighten up things when nothing else is in bloom. Clever roast turkey analogy they used Irina...funny. And thanks for the explanation!...See MoreJoseph
