Need help fast - which finish for a white powder room sink?
Comments (7)I know it doesn't give you an answer, but either will look fine with what you've chosen. It all comes down to personal preference. Think about what coordinating items you want that will go with it. I wouldn't want one of the finishes on the faucets and the other on sconces, for instance. I actually think with the rustic floor, if your faucets were satin nickel and if you chose not to do satin nickel on your sconces as well, you could do a black or oil rubbed bronze finish on your sconces if you wanted. There are pics. in some of the bathrooms here that have done that and it looks great....See MoreFinished Tiny Powder Room
Comments (12)crazyhouse6, Thank You So Much! There are so many beautiful huge bathrooms on this forum, I was a little embarrassed to post my tiny one. The blinds are Kirsch blinds I ordered on line. I can't take any credit for the valance My DSIL made it. I can't sew a button on! She always made the cutest costumes for her kids at Halloween I had to buy mine! Anyway I found the material and showed her a picture. I told her not too fussy but pretty. I think she gave me just what I wanted. The art work is from Z Gallarie. They have allot of neat stuff. I have gotten some window treatments there also. Here is there website. Here is a link that might be useful: Zgallarie...See MoreHelp me finish the powder room - I need tile help.
Comments (3)I love the godmorgan sink for their clever plumbing moving the ptrap to the back so that you can have drawers. I got one but my plumber threw up all over it for the cheap quality of the plastic in the plumbing. He did agree about the design and is building ours with the ptrap in the back so that we can do drawers using better quality stock parts. Mirrors.. I would suggest picking this first as this will drive much tile you need. Have you looked at IKEA mirrors. They are a good price point. Also home goods etc.. Faucet.. Online prices are much better.. Do you like the look of the faucet in the picture? I went with a simple version from a good quality brand for my regular bathrooms with a single lever. For powder room, I also wanted it to be fun and did wall mounted in antique copper....See MoreHelp with powder room finishing touches!
Comments (15)Are we talking "gold" or "polished brass" ? Not the same thing at all but many of the young use the term interchangeably. I used polished brass in a guest room bath as it has and antique footed tub and antique footed basin out of an old local hotel. It looks right. In master bath, I used polished nickel- again it just looks right in this 1948 house, First for full bath has polished chrome as that was what was in the tub and I was not gutting the entire bath - just new toilet, basin with legs and wallpaper....See Moremrsmacluvsdave
