I remember meeting her when I visited you a couple of years ago. It doesn't seem that long ago, but much has happened since then, and it's good that I got to see you before the pandemic.

She's a very nice person, and so I can see why Elery enjoyed the company, although I did not meet her husband.

Good thing you lined the baking sheet with parchment! I'm sure that once it is on a plate that it looked fine.

Yum. I try to avoid looking at AnnT's recipes. I hear that just reading them will plump up one's fat cells. How great that you had such a nice visit and that Elery liked the company too! So nice when that kind of thing happens.

Hey, Annie, it was fun to visit with you and Elery. Thanks for hosting. Good to hear Elery enjoyed the visit, we sure did. And our trip to Menards which brought us up your way, was successful. All our bi-fold doors have matching hardware now!! The style was discontinued, and our local store did not have enough to finish our project.

Lars is right. Once plated, the Danish looked fine. Both flavors tasted great, too. And you know I would rather admire pretty veggies than prepared food most days. Oops, probably not supposed to say that on the Cooking Forum :)

DH and I loved seeing your huge garden and farm animals, especially knowing we did not have to take care of any of it. It was probably funny to see me looking for dried up bean pods in the abandoned bean plantings and collecting seeds to try next year. Yes, I am a bit fixated on seeds. The golden beets from you are roasting in the oven right now. I'll plant some of the garlic around Halloween. Gotta keep the vampires away, you know. Oh, plus it is the right time to plant then anyway.

It would be great to see you and Elery when you visit our town. We are always up for a visit to Horrocks. And DH would probably tell me to weed out more canning jars and pass them along. It is fix up and declutter time at our house now and for awhile to come.

It's always fix up time, isn't it? If you do one room at a time, by the time you finish the last room, it's time to start again on the first room, LOL.

I'm glad you got your doors all taken care of, it seems like the big box stores run you from one store to another to get enough of anything to finish a job. As for the seeds, well, Elery went back up later and picked up some more for the pink half runners, so you aren't in that alone! I have lots more if you want any more, both of the pink half runners and the Italian Horticultural. Oh and some kidney beans too, if you want them. I usually leave a short piece at the end of each row just for seeds, and leave those to mature, and I always have more than I need.

We'll definitely have to meet at Horrock's, but we'd better do it pretty soon or it's going to be cold outside in the beer garden!

Enjoy the beets, they were nice and sweet this year. I just canned 18 pints of them yesterday and I still have more in the garden.

Lars, it doesn't seem like that long, does it? I'm also glad you got to come before COVID. In fact we were talking about how Google took you and Kevin down the two-track roads through the National Forest coming back from the lake. It's funny now....

plllog, I don't think the danish is at all healthy, but it was pretty good, filled with cream cheese and homemade jam, so thanks, AnnT, for a great recipe. I use that dough to make cinnamon rolls for my Mother too, because it stays so soft and tender.
