I think I have posted this before, but must post again today. Of course I did not take it....1904 school picture of less than happy looking children. Two of my Dad's siblings are in the pic, but I have no idea which are them.

I discovered this photo from my father's high school yearbook on Ancestry last year. He's the lightweight on the top left. He would have loved to look through those books again. 1938.

I love this time of year when back to school photos take over my Facebook feed. Our son posted this last week on the first day of school for our two grandkids. First year they were in the same school and last year. Where has the time gone?

My first 4 years of school were spent in a one-room school. I loved it! The teacher would sometimes call off afternoon classes so we could all be outside raking leaves, making snow forts, etc.

The inked-out part is just the name of the town.

Italian student just let out of school, and attacking each other with shaving cream and eggs. Photo taken in front of the Borghese Palace in Rome. I think this was the last day of school for the summer instead of the first day.
