Looking at apple earbuds for granddaughter

Is it worth it to go the extra 50.00 for the one with charging automatically. i do not quite understand how these work. some say place on mat and others say it charges automatically.

does anyone here have any experience with these or others.

I have an answer!

My DD just got a new laptop for college and it came w free airpods. I planned on keeping them for me. For $50 more I could get auto charging.

So, I asked my 3 the same question. All of them said not necessary .... thay have all had airpods since they came out. Oh and they are all really spoiled so I was shocked any feature could be deemed unnecessary. HTH

I didn't even realize that auto charging was a option until I gave a pair to my DS for his birthday 2 weeks ago. He recently switched from a Galaxy to an iPhone and had been regretting his decision - but when he tried the earbuds he was thrilled and kept remarking on the quality of the sound. My other son was there and asked if they were auto charging - they weren't - and both boys said it wasn't necessary... However DS #2 now wants a pair for his upcoming birthday.

Karyn, I know what you mean; I have a Kadota and the few figs it had, the squirrels got to them even before they were ripe. The fig cuttings I got at CRFG are: Peter's Honey, Panache 'Tiger', and another one that I can't read/remember what I wrote. The latter, everyone was trying to get a cutting of it. I'll have to ask the name at next month's meeting. Ingrid, those apples look different from the Lady apples I bought. Sorry I can't take a picture because my 3 y.o. GD ate the last three I had! They were smaller, a bit flatter and the coloring was different than what yours look like. Thanks Jill, I hope they grow for me too! There are various chapters of CRFG, but the one I belong to meets at the Sepulveda Garden Center in Encino. I grow Anna apple successfully and at a previous home, I grew Beverly Hills apple. The bees are all gone now at the tune of $495! Sorry about your Yorkie, and ouch, $2000!

Sorry I didn't get back here sooner, but our internet went out yesterday and was just fixed 15 minutes ago. Glad you all enjoyed the update on Emily. Yes, I'll be chuckling about her "Coil stove incident" for months, I know! Although I don't have many pics of her actual apartment without the other girls in them, here are some that I do have. Her Pottery Barn Teen bedding (duvet, shams, sheet set, etc). This is NOT a pic of her room, but from their catalog. But it will give you an idea of her taste and decorating direction. Her new art work for her bedroom: Her table from Target. This is a replacement for the exact same one she had before in her room at the sorority house that was burned in the fire: PB throw pillows for her bed: New bedroom lamp, although she is planning on getting a new smaller shade in black. We both think this one is too big for it. She told me she thinks this lamp is versatile enough to last her through many years of grad school, apartments and in a variety of room. I love her practicality! Her bathroom. Creative solution to tying up earbud-type cords?

An earbud case. My son was looking for one when he got handed one at a career fair. Perfect! They stay unkinked, in his pocket and with all the pieces still attached. There are all kinds. See the link for pictures. When you see the style you want, just click on the page associated with it. I see one at the top that says "leather" which would be akin to the rubber band idea. You're welcome. :-) She looks ecstatic! Don't waste that pumpkin on Halloween though lol. Remove and clean the seeds. Season them with your favorite seasoning blend - even just some salt will do nicely - and lightly roast them. You can find many methods on the web. I like them raw myself. Then, have your granddaughter help you peel and chop that puppy up. Roast it for the savory base of a wonderfully creamy soup, or turn it into pie filling. You could stir fry it, or even chunk it into bite size pieces, add brown sugar, a few autumn spices, and cook it in a roasting pan to make a dessert like baked apples. A little ice cream on the side and yummmm! You could just half it, pour in some brown sugar and maple syrup and bake it like a squash. So many delicious choices!

There are two different airpods and the regular airpods has a wireless charging case. Is that the option you are referring to? I got my daughter the airpods pro as they are adjustable in size and like me she has small ears so standard sizes rarely work. They do come with the wireless charging case, which is nice as I have a charging plate where she can just put them on to charge. If your grandaughter has a charging pad for an iphone then this is a nice option to have as she can just lay it on there and doesn't need a separate plug to charge it. In the absence of that then I wouldn't spend the money, but I would consider if the standard size airpods will work for her before buying.
