How much water to give tomatoes?
Comments (7)I have read that tomatoes need 1 inch of water per week minimum (about 3-5 gallons of water per plant). During the heat of summer, they require 1 1/2 inches per week. Water slowly and deeply so that roots will go deep looking for water. Shallow roots mean that the plant will likely dry out faster (causing wilting). Watering once every 2-3 days is a good idea. Use a stick to check the depth of your watering. 8-12 inches deep is about right. Consistent watering is also important as it will keep plants from cracking. The BER (Blossom End Rot) caused from a lack of calcium intake can often be solved by watering correctly so that the roots can soak up calcium that is in the soil. You can soak eggshells in water for 24 hours and then use that water on the tomatoes or use Gypsum to add calcium to the soil if the soil is deficient. Excessive watering can cause nutrients to leach below where the roots can be found causing a deficiency in the plants. It is best to water in the morning so that the leaves will have time to dry during the day....See MoreHow much to give for First Communion
Comments (33)My son is receiving his First Holy Communion tomorrow. To be honest, we don't really care about the gifts and/or money nor my son. The most important thing to us is that our dear Godparents, Family and friends will be there to witness he sacrament. It truly is a blessed day. If you are insisting to get a gift here is a tip. We are very much in love with our God and our church, so gifts that represent our Lord are always very welcome, however some families actually just have 1st Communion to have that sacrament to their children and never go back to church. My son loves receiving Holy Gifts, the have children's books, toys, keepsakes and so much more. I would say that Godparents usually give a nice religious gift in remembrance of this special day, as well as family. Friends, I am happy with a card for myself, but if giving to someone on their day, I would say $20 would be fine, but base it on your budget and what your heart wants to give or if you have a store near you that sells Christine items then I am sure you could find some fun stuff for him/her. Remember this is a very special day and he/she will love whatever you may give them for remembrance of their sacrament. Tip, if you are buying passages and are Catholic, be sure you are buying a Catholic approved items, Catholic bibles are marked as being approved by Diocese. Comments (7)My cat is still a big pumpkin fan even though she hasn't had bowel issues since I started her on the pumpkin regimen 2 years ago...she still gets 1/8 oz with each meal. Freezing the pumpkin is a good idea...I put the servings into an ice cube tray and allow to freeze overnight. The next morning the frozen cubes get transfered into a zip lock bag. They get defrosted as needed in a tupperware container. The defrosted pumpkin easily lasts a week in the fridge....See MoreHow much water to give my new 10ft tall Italian Cypress trees?
Comments (1)I'm wondering if it has to do when I try to upload pics and if they're too large. Because this time I was successful but it was the first time in three tries where I didn't attach photos. It would be nice to get some type of warning letting me know my files are too large. It just froze up on me and eventually I lost it all. Here are some pics. I'm going to just upload them on another site and link them here: https://i.ibb.co/42xP1cg/20210207-120530.jpg https://i.ibb.co/XWF01nx/20210207-120612.jpg...See Moreeld6161
