Thanks everyone. Funny that Jane was posting a similar question at the same time (I didn't realize when I saw the name of her thread that she was aiming to copy file names). It worked for me to do control print, then control V into a word document. A little awkward in terms of getting all the details to show - but certainly doable. Mikie - I tried the dragging and dropping. Now that was the kind of solution I wanted. It saves it in a simple list - without all this blank space from the screen shot. What an incredibly helpful tip. The first time I tried saving it I chose as text - but that was a mess. The second time I chose as a web page - is that the correct way to do it? And will it stay on my computer? This brings up a problem I've had but didn't think about asking before. I have often saved webpages - esp. from this forum and the cooking forum. But when I go back to open them up, they present a whole list of different files - like a logo from the page, etc. It's no longer complete and recreatable. Is that because I saved it in the wrong format? I had just recently deleted a couple of these when I thought there was no resurrecting the information. Glad I didn't erase more than a few. So if I want to, say, save this thread, I'd hit file, then save as, and choose web page complete? web page html? text files? or all files? Looking at the mess of files from things I saved in the past, I suspect I chose all files - but I honestly don't recall making a selection (and certainly I didn't understand the selection). This is such a useful way for me to save some information. Me and Winsnap are doing this with you. This is my "first time". Sign up at Photobucket.com. You will then get an album after you wade through the cellphone promotion to get a gaming console (XBOX 360 etc). There will be a 'browse' key where you can peruse your computer for images you want to upload. Choose and upload. You will be taken to your image's web page where you can so all kinds of things. We want a our selected image in a GW post. We have got to add HTML code (we read here). Try again with a different code from Photobucket listed under "Forum Post" ...and that didn't work out either Huh! I'm just going to screw the directions use the forum url. owbist or iowagirl...I need more help.. Something is not working right. I can set up my e-mail with sound and a picture or two inserted. I send to DD or DS and they do not get music with the picture. I can go back into my e-mail Sent, pull it up and there is music and pic, just the way I want it to go thru. They are not getting the music. They are both on DSL. The other night I set an e-mail up from DD's computer, with picture and music, sent it to our home e-mail address, all I got was pic, no music. After sending I went into her Sent e-mails, pull the e-mail up and I had pic and music. Why is the music not going thru? My e-mails were being sent Outlook Express thru our Verizon address. Thru Verizon we also have MSN Premium, with an MSN address. On MSN Premium I cannot set an e-mail up with pic and music as there is no toolbar with Format or Insert it offers just only an Attachment icon. I can send the music and pic as attachments, which both have to be clicked onto to see and hear. That is not the way I want them to go. I am sure there is something I am missing to do...Been trying for 3 days now. I will appreciate any suggestions and advice. I do remember dial up connections and do not send to them, it has been not that long ago I had dial up too. Thank You!!

When you have the box on your screen, click on the 'print screen' button (it should be to the right of your F12 key). This copies your screen shot. Open Microsoft Word or other word processing document and paste image there. Click View> toolbars > picture toolbar and select 'crop picture. From there you can reduce your screen shot to show the box only and not your screen background. Hope this is what you wanted to know.
