Windows Home Decorating Design Dilemma

I have a window coverings design dilemma…

Generally I would use the same window coverings throughout an open plan. The sheers were here when we moved in and they are starting to grow on me despite wanting them gone ASAP initially. My thought was to put 5 % solar shades on all windows . We need privacy only on the wall with the sheers . The front window would only be to protect floors and furniture at times but we must maintain the view.
In the family room, we get a glare on the TV so these windows need to be covered also.
Any thoughts on using solar blinds everywhere vs leaving the sheers on the long dining room window while putting solar blinds on the rest? A concern I have for all blinds is that on one side of the dining window there is not return so there would be a small gap between the shade and the window frame leaving exposed window all the way down about 5/8 “

I think I prefer the drapery look. Sunbrella has what they call a solar sheer that can be used inside and outdoors. I'd prefer more of the same - ceiling track drapes you can see through that cut glare.

I went with simple drapes for our bow window. 96 inches floor to almost ceiling. took 6 panels. had to sew 3 panels together. when I want privacy I close them. simple and easy. if u go with any type I'd blinds you'll wreck your wood and then when you want change yiur screwed. the finished look is very nice

If those sheers are needed to protect your eyes from direct sun, I'd get solar shades.

Your view is spectacular. Gorgeous drapes you can pull to the sides will “frame” the view, but using blinds strategically for your comfort (and to preserve the furniture) is important. You don’t need both on every window since blinds “disappear” when they’re up. But having a fabulous fabric for the drapery will enhance the view. What a fabulous location! Congratulations.

Before clicking on the photo I was going to suggest curtains with moldings.
You have that :)
And I LOVE IT!
Embrace it!
I’d do more of the same curtain but add the same molding to block the rod...

If that’s not enough coverage you can get a sun block roller shade to put behind the curtains.
