Your fireplace mantle is high so I don’t know that a TV would work there unless you changed it. I would change your current stand to more long and low. We have a sectional with two chairs. Love it

I agree with the comments about the height of the TV. I would also try moving the sectional and the entertainment center farther away from the fireplace wall. If you can, replacing the sectional with a couch and two chairs will give you more seating and flexibility. And of course, add end tables, lamps, a coffee table, etc.

I like the option where there are two focal points--the fireplace and TV on adjacent walls, as you have now. TVs over fireplaces are a last resort if you don't have another wall for it. So option 3 or 4 would be my choice, depending on whether you feel the need for a sectional. I personally like a sofa with chairs, but that's just my opinion, you may have a different one. Then get a cocktail table (round or square if you go with a sectional, and rectangular if a sofa and two chairs). I'd also place a console table behind the sofa, especially where you walk in from the foyer. I'd get a long low console table for the TV to add weight to that wall, and to house books, accessories, etc. You'll also need end tables so each seating area has a place to put down a book or a drink. Finally once you get your layout set, make sure you have enough lighting.

You might consider two couches in an L configuration instead of a sectional.

I would move the TV to the center of that wall. I agree a longer lower console would look good and then the TV can be lowered to eye level when sitting. Center the sectional or a new sofa on it. That will give your room near the fireplace for some chairs. Add a sofa table behind the sectional for light and a coffee table.

A large rug will tie the furniture together, help with noise, and protect the floor.

Since photos are the previous owner's furniture, try making a diagram with cutouts of furniture so you can move prospective pieces to different positions. Here are some handy measurements to keep in mind as you shop and consider.

We like the idea of using your sectional and having the two focal points: fireplace and TV. Perhaps try that and if you don't like it, then perhaps try getting two sofas and place in an L shape as stated above.
