I would get a rod that goes past the doors to almost the corner of the walls. That way when open the curtains clear the entire span of glass.

I did exactly what houssan suggested on a slider to keep the curtain away from a floor lamp and chair. It works great and actually looks more balanced because the heaviness of the furniture on the opening side is balanced with the double curtain on the other. Make sure your rod can span the whole slider without a bracket in the middle. You may have go up a bit in quality/price to do this but it’s worth it.

Could just use one drapery panel or another type of treatment. If going with 2 or 3 picture below, you could create a bit more balance with a plant in corner. Also suggest large art to create a focal point away from the door.

I like the chandalier too. Do you have a source?

Hang a rod across the whole expanse from wall to wall. Get enough drapery to cover the whole wall. Nobody can tell that there’s more wall than window behind the drapery on the left side, unless you open the drapes that far.

I did that too, placed the light fixture NOT centered to give room for a walkway so it's not lined up with a window behind it. It's funny I didnt notice yours wasn't centered with the door until I re-read your post that you were not moving the fixture. I'll be following post. :-)

I was worried about installing a rod from wall to cabinet.I thought it’s going to make more noticeable as volume of curtain will be different.

Stack the curtain panels on the left side. Nobody will notice the door is off center (nor does it matter that it is).

Yes, no curtains on the right side, all on the left as shown in the pics people posted above. They are saying to take the rod to the left wall so most of the curtains will be covering the little piece of wall on the left of the door instead of covering the window when the curtains are open.
