It doesn't look like Michelangelo to me....his musculature is far better defined than in this sculpture, and it's the proportion. I'm no expert, but it's a feeling you get when you see his art that seems to be lacking in this one. IYKWIM.

We have osprey eagles in our area. This is one of the nests around

Our city actually built a big box for them to nest in on the tv station tower. It sets up a live camera inside every spring to see the hatching and growth of the chicks.

Annie, apparently it was thought a Michelangelo because of its similarity to the crucifix he made that is in the Santo Spirito church.......but what do I know? He's not my favourite Renaissance artist, or my favourite Italian sculptor.
