Comments (12)Hi, Penelope-- You're right to pick up on the fact that the new gold hardware trend (or even mixed metals) is currently shown most often with crisp white as the palette neutral. I'd recommend going right down the line with Ultra Pure White (also known as untinted base white), sold by every paint manufacturer and so, forever easy to match and touch-up in the future once you match the sheens. Swiss Coffee is the other tone that's available across major manufacturers, but I think that'd be too warm for your palette here, as you're wisely cautious against. Other surfaces bring in the character and warmth, but if you want fresh, clean white, I'd keep it simple so it always reads as the true neutral barometer against accents.
