Comments (3)No, to me, doesn't look right. A bit too "pointy" for one thing. Also, the vibrant green stem looks "wrong" as well. For my money, it looks a whole lot like undivided leaves on Sassafras. Does the wood have a fragrance to it, how about the leaves when crushed? Spicy scent would indicate sassafras....See Morehave: american persimmon seeds for sase

Comments (2)My fruit are tiny and clear orange. I forget the nursery I got them from, but tiny they are. Nonetheless, I would never consider them as an ornamental because in the years it gives a big crop, the ground under the tree is covered an inch thick with decaying fruit. I am no priss, and we don't live in a house maintained as a museum, but from Dec to Feb, I try not to walk where the Persimmons fell. Add to that their propensity to grow a forest of trees from the roots, up to 50ft away, and you have the makings of a thug. Personally, I think the popping up of the trees all over the place is the worst thing about the tree. Rotten fruit I can deal with....See Moresummersrhythm_z6a
