Comments (19)My DH is the surviving beneficiary on an insurance policy his father took out nearly 100 years ago when he served in WWI. DH received $1.89 monthly starting in 1949. (His mother selected that option thinking it would keep him in comic books.) We had to move heaven and earth to get the government to at least consolidate this into an annual check; only proof of his death will stop it.
