Bone Inlay resin yellowing

I have these white bone inlay nightstands that have developed yellowing on the finish. I have been told that the chemical in the resin sometimes has a color change like this. Does anyone know how I can remove the yellowing or at least lighten in a bit? Thank you!

This may be of help: "The bone tends to get yellow and pigment eventually over time. It is because they don't get proper exposure to sunlight. On the other side, bone inlay can lighten up when they are placed in a sunny place. ... Sunlight shouldn't be too harsh or direct."

Hi Krissie55, thanks for the response.! The areas that have the yellow splotches are not the bone areas at all, but instead strictly on the resin areas - and just on the front of the drawers. One night table is nearer to the window and the other is far away, yet they both have the same amount of yellow - so I don't think it is sunlight related. I think it's some kind of chemical reaction in the resin - and so wondered if maybe there is a chemical to undo it?

MY sister sent a moose skull from alaska and I found a deer skull in the front field. My husband absconded with them and stuck them on pikes for a bit of a medieval feel. I washed off the red paint. Too much. I have named it, finally, Barbaric Fripparies. My husband wants my huge boar skull for the one remaining pole. I did have a wind chime made with surgical implements , mostly birthing forceps and gynecological tools from my father in law. It appropriately hung above the gate of my vegetable garden. Keep the potted plant in partial shade/sun (east facing, under a shade tree) all this year. You can feed it lightly with 1/2 or so recommended concentration of mir-acid every couple weeks. Those two things should help tremendously. Top soil, cancel that. The stuff is gooey. You want a real lightweight mix and adding peat moss is a better alternative. You can add your sand too. If you have clay, do not ever add sand, just the peat and compost's. Top soil is good for filling in a hole in the lawn, per say. Also, and lastly, you should remove by hand all damaged needles as this is only taking away from the plant natural ability to regenerate damaged growth. And remove those dead branches, always. Hi, Is this a so-called "pitch pocket" that was exposed by sawing or planing? Or is it just a resinous area of the wood? The former is common to spruce, white pine, maybe other softwoods, and would be remedied by scraping or dissolving the pine tar. That would leave a void to be filled. A resin-heavy area (pitch streak, sap streak) seen in yellow pine, really can't be remedied- the pitch is part of the wood. A heat gun will make it bubble to the surface, but you're not getting rid of it. The difficulty is that no oil-based finish is going to adhere or even dry on a pitch streak like that. A crafty solution would be to use a router to remove it with a specific outline (like a butterfly shape) and insert an inlay of matching wood. Casey

Joseph, Thanks for getting back to me. So I guess even diffuse light causes this issue... ugh.
