Go for it. Remember you will eventually have to pot them up to bigger and bigger pots. I did wash my leaves in a soapy bath, rinsed and dried before sticking them. Hoping to get rid of most of the germs before sticking them. Not sure if that is really needed since others I just stick in almost anything during summer without much fanfare. Some rot but some make new plants. The pellets I poured hot water on them to hopefully give them a little sterilization. Again probably not needed. Let cool before sticking if you go with the hot water. Here is a bit fancier mini-greenhouse that has a reservoir and a water wicking mat included. The plants are too big to use the cover on now so I need to pot them up before I lose them all.

Hi Kelli, I'd love to say GREAT but I've had less than stellar results. I have been able to get some small plants going, but the transition from in to outside, even during the warm months has been disappointing. If they can't proliferate with my planting medium and excellent treatment (at least I think it is excellent) I tend to lose interest. I would not bail on them on my account, though. Best of luck!

High humidity (I assume). That's the only way I've grown it. I find it a pretty easy plant.

You can move it outside to start getting it conditioned but if it threatens frost, I would move it back indoors. Due to how many I have, I wait until the trees leaf out to provide shade and keep a freak frost from biting the leaves. The safest thing is to wait at least two weeks after your "safe date" to plant tender annuals and perennials. Your oldest leaves will probably start dying if blooming so why not use your oldest leaves to start some new plants? You can also take out your little plantlets to start a new life in a "small" pot. Let them develop roots before moving to a bigger pot. You can propagate almost any time of the year (some times are better than others) as long as it is warm and you have some light (and humidity).
